Round 1
Some may look at the Jaguars season and think that Trevor Lawrence is not worth building around; I look at it and see a team that is so, so much worse when TLaw is banged up. It is crazy that Trevor Lawrence is putting up peak Andy Dalton stats... without an A.J. Green. Thomas Jr. gives Lawrence a much needed weapon.
Protect Joe Burrow. You don't think it would be too hard, but apparently, Cincinnati hasn't gotten the memo yet. If Joe Burrow's hand isn't totally screwed, the Bengals need to make it a priority to make sure a year like 2023, where they miss the playoffs with such a talented roster, doesn't happen again.
I liked what I saw from Jordan Love. No, I loved it. Sorry. Love looked great in 2023 and I expect him to be a top 10 QB at the very least in 2024. That said, he needs his Greg Jennings. Keon Coleman very well has the capability to be the new "guy" in Green Bay.
I suspect that Tampa Bay is going to stick with Baker Mayfield in 2024, so fishing for some offensive help to go along with future Hall of Famer Mike Evans and perhaps replace him in the future is absolutely key. This makes more and more sense if you look at how Tampa Bay's defense played down the stretch (pretty great).
Keep Kyler Murray up, keep winning games. Joe Alt doesn't just help Murray; however, James Conner would absolutely love a road-grading tackle to run behind as he continues to exceed expectations in the desert.
The Rams' 2023 record belies a strangely complete roster. As such, I think they just go best available. Nate Wiggins also makes a lot of sense if the Rams want to keep up with what I think will be an surging Arizona offense and the existent juggernaut in San Francisco.
If there were any first round-worthy QBs left, Pittsburgh would probably reach for them. There are not, so their best bet is providing as much help as they can to whoever is under center for the Steelers.
The Dolphins got smoked by Baltimore and Buffalo in back-to-back weeks to close the season, so I think a secondary choice is likely in the coming draft. Xavien Howard, as good as he is, can't do it all himself and is sadly injury-prone. Cooper DeJean would provide a nice boost to Miami's beleaguered secondary.
I don't know where to start with Philadelphia. Their roster looks stacked, but they suck. I think a lot of their issues start and end with their coaching, so i will default to best player available here, though I really just don't know what this will be.
The Chiefs have looked very strange this season, almost like they are just coasting. Mahomes needs help, and I think KC will be a hot destination for any offensive playmakers looking to make a championship run with one of the greatest to ever do it. That being said, adding help on the line will give Mahomes his best shot to get his third ring.
I like the Texans' roster, as strange as that is. It doesn't really have too many holes, but if they want to keep up with the other dominating offenses in the AFC, they are going to need as much defensive help as they can get.
If Jared Goff looks halfway decent in the playoffs, I think the Lions are going to go all in on him. Xavier Legette would be quite the secondary piece alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Similar to the Texans, Buffalo has a roster that looks a lot better than it has played. Unfortunately for them, their road to the Super Bowl is going to be going through Baltimore quite often, so getting secondary help is paramount to their future success.
CeeDee Lamb quietly had an absolutely outstanding season at wideout for Dallas, but there really isn't a secondary option behind him. While that in and of itself makes his season that much more impressive, I think getting him that number 2 option is imperative.
San Francisco has the most complete roster in the league, but they have quite a few upcoming free agents. Jared Verse just feels like a 49ers player, and would be an awesome running mate alongside Nick Bosa.
Just as the 49ers have the most complete roster in the league, the Ravens have the best roster in the league. Notice the difference: Lamar Jackson makes it the best roster in the league. Their big upcoming weakness is going to be CB depth, as outside of Marlon Humphrey, Baltimore is really just running whoever out there and letting Kyle Hamilton pick up the pieces. Kamari Lassiter would be the final piece in what could be a true dynasty brewing in the Charm City.
