Final 2024 Mock Draft

Last year was one of the most difficult drafts to mock for myself, and I went back and forth all the way up to the hour before the event. Unfortunately, the results showed, garnering me only six correct picks. Not to shabby, sure, but I always try to hit the 25% mark of eight correct picks. I exceeded that benchmark three years in a row prior to last year--correctly predicting 32 of the 96 combined picks over those given drafts--and I am hoping to start a new streak for myself. Per usual, I do extensive research beforehand, taking into account the consensus among all of the mock drafts online as well as which prospects interviewed with which teams.

Round 1

Picks 1-16 Picks 17-32
17.
Terrion Arnold , CB , Alabama
Arnold seems like the best fit for the Jaguars, but McKinstry could be in play if the Colts don't trade up and draft Arnold at #15.
18.
Taliese Fuaga , G/OT , Oregon State
Fuaga fits nicely with the Bengals, as he can play guard before taking over for Trent Brown at RT following next season.
19.
Jared Verse , DE , Florida State
The Rams needs someone to help generate the pass rush they lost with Aaron Donald's retirement. Verse is best on the board, though Turner could fall this far because of medical concerns.
I like Amarius Mims to the Steelers more, but Barton seems to be the popular pick. A Brandon Aiyuk trade is also possible.
21.
Byron Murphy II , DT , Texas
Murphy fills the hole left by Wilkins. Dallas Turner or Jared Verse could also be in play as well as a darkhorse in Xavier Worthy.
22.
Quinyon Mitchell , CB , Toledo
I could see the Eagles drafting Mitchell at #22 or even trading up for him.
23.
Nate Wiggins , CB , Clemson
Not sure the Vikings would draft Wiggins, but I thought I would slot him here in case the Chargers or Cardinals ultimately own this pick (as all three could use CB help). Just playing the odds, I guess you say.
24.
Tyler Guyton , OT , Oklahoma
Recent reports indicate the Cowboys like Guyton. He gets the nod over Mims and Fautanu here.
25.
Amarius Mims , OT , Georgia
Guyton and DeJean both make sense if they are still available, but Mims makes sense to me if they are aren't.
Kool-Aid or Chop? Sure, maybe. But the Buccaneers have also met with JPJ on two different occasions.
27.
Chop Robinson , OLB/DE , Penn State
The Cardinals met with Chop multiple times leading up to the draft. I could see them draft him here or at #23 if they make a deal with the Vikings.
28.
I wouldn't be shocked if the Bills even trade up for Brian Thomas Jr. They desperately need to find someone for Josh Allen to be able to throw to this upcoming season.
29.
Kool-Aid McKinstry , CB , Alabama
Some more secondary help for the Lions here. If the Top 5 CBs are off the board, I think Johnny Newton could be the pick.
30.
Troy Fautanu , G/OT , Washington
If Barton goes in the 1st, one of the OTs is bound to slide in my opinion. I decided to slot Fautanu here because the Ravens have shown a lot of interest in him, and I could see them trading up for him.
31.
Tyler Guyton , OT , Oklahoma
I was going to give the 49ers Suamataia, but I thought Worthy made the most sense just in case they trade Aiyuk.
Xavier Worthy or Kool-Aid could also be the pick, but I think the Chiefs are more likely to go OT in the 1st.
