Round 1

Picks 17-32
17. Jaguars: Byron Murphy II, DT, Texas

The Jaguars take Byron Murphy to bolster their defensive line alongside Josh Allen and Travon Walker.

18. Bengals: J.C. Latham, OT, Alabama

Protect Joe Burrow at all costs. I know I sound like a broken record at this point but taking the fourth tackle in this incredibly deep tackle class is no consolation prize. Latham could have been the first tackle taken in another year.

19. Rams: Laiatu Latu, DE, UCLA

Some teams might be scared off by Laiatu Latu's medical history which is why he falls here to the Rams.

20. Steelers: Troy Fautanu, G/OT, Washington

Deep tackle class. Not a consolation prize. Steelers need all the help they can get on the o-line.

21. Eagles: Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia

The Eagles trade up! Howie Roseman has never been afraid to trade up one spot to ensure he gets the guy he wants, and an o-lineman who needs time to develop and also happens to have attended the University of Georgia? He wants that and only has to give up a Day 3 pick to get that.

22. Dolphins: Graham Barton, G/OT, Duke

The Dolphins o-line was incredibly prone to injury at every position so they get a guy who can fill in at any position.

23. Cardinals: Jared Verse, DE, Florida State

With their second first round pick, the Cardinals take the best player available to bolster their pass rush.

24. Cowboys: Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma

The Cowboys just lost Tyron Smith in free agency so they take yet another tackle in this incredibly deep tackle class.

25. Packers: Cooper DeJean, S/CB, Iowa

The Packers take the versatile Cooper DeJean who can play either cornerback or safety and can also return kicks at a high level.

26. Buccaneers: Chop Robinson, OLB/DE, Penn State

The Bucs are happy to take the third edge rusher off the board in Chop Robinson.

27. Chargers: Johnny Newton, DT, Illinois

Jim Harbaugh continues to build through the trenches with Johnny Newton, another player from the Big Ten.

28. Seahawks: Jackson Powers-Johnson, C, Oregon

The Seahawks need help at the guard and center position and here's a guy who is able to do both.

29. Lions: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

After an impressive showing last year and making it to the NFC Championship, the Lions get another Alabama player in the secondary.

30. Panthers: Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas

The Panthers trade up! Desperate to show that the Bryce Young pick wasn't a mistake, the Panthers trade into the first round to get him Xavier Worthy, who just set the combine record for the 40 yard dash. They give up too much to do it because they're owned by David Tepper though.

31. 49ers: Kingsley Suamataia, OT, BYU

Right tackle was an issue for the 49ers last year and they get a steal in a (say it with me) incredibly deep tackle class.

32. Chiefs: Jordan Morgan, OT, Arizona

Many will mock a receiver to the Chiefs here but they don't know Andy Reid then. He will continue to build through the trenches and ensure that Patrick Mahomes is protected with the 9th tackle taken in the first round.
