Round 2

33. Browns: Donovan Ezeiruaku, OLB, Boston College

(Rd 1: Cam Ward, QB)
Whether Myles Garrett stays or goes this offseason, Cleveland must prepare for life without him at some point.

34. Jets: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

TRADE! NYJ gets #34 pick, 2025 draft
NYG gets #42 & #109 picks, 2025 draft
(Rd 1: Will Campbell, OT)
The Jets trade up to stop the fall of Matthew Golden, a 1st round WR prospect who will help alleviate the assumed loss of Davante Adams, Allen Lazard and company. Garrett Wilson gets a running buddy, and the Giants acquire more draft capital to address a bevy of needs.

35. Titans: Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon

(Rd 1: Travis Hunter, CB/WR)
The Titans hit the trenches in Round 2 with Josh Conerly Jr., an OT from Oregon. Strong first 2 picks from Tennessee.

36. Jaguars: Donovan Jackson, G, Ohio State

(Rd 1: Mason Graham, DT)
2 picks, 2 trench players for the Jags. JAX can upgrade almost anywhere on the O-line, and Jackson is my highest rated remaining O-lineman (albeit at guard).

37. Raiders: Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame

(Rd 1: Ashton Jeanty, RB)
The Raiders shore up the safety position in Round 2 after taking Ashton Jeanty with the #6 pick.

38. Patriots: Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota

(Rd 1: Tetairoa McMillan, WR)
Ersery is raw, but the Pats are light at OT. A guy with this much upside helps, even if development is needed.

39. Bears: Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State

(Rd 1: Armand Membou, OT)
Like the Jags, Chicago doubles up on trench players with their first 2 picks. This time it's the interior presence of Tyleik Williams.

40. Saints: T.J. Sanders, DT, South Carolina

(Rd 1: Shedeur Sanders, QB)
The Saints could easily go WR here for Kellen Moore, but the draft value isn't quite here at #40. D-line is also an issue, and TJ Sanders will help defend against NFC South RBs like Bijan Robinson and Chuba Hubbard.

41. Bears: Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina

Another 2nd round selection for Chicago, and this time it's a home run hitter at RB in Omarion Hampton. An exciting pick for the Chicago offense to take some pressure off Caleb Williams.

42. Giants: Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky

(from NYJ in trade for #34 pick)
(Rd1: Abdul Carter, EDGE)
I'm sure Giants fans don't love two defensive players, but Hairston's had an excellent Combine at a position of real need for the team. I do believe they'll target a pass catcher and depth O-line in middle rounds, and look to free agency for an OG.

43. 49ers: Cameron Williams, OT, Texas

(Rd 1: Will Johnson, CB)
The 49ers could also address LB here, but the O-line needs youth and depth as well.

44. Cowboys: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

(Rd 1: Kelvin Banks Jr., IOL)
Benjamin Morrison is a 1st round talent with a 4th round injury report. He could very well slide into the 2nd round -- here, Dallas takes a chance on his upside when healthy.

45. Colts: Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss

(Rd 1: Tyler Warren, TE)
The Colts go secondary with pick #45 -- they should spend one of their first 2 picks at cornerback. Trey Amos could go higher, but this pick feels like good value at this position.

46. Steelers: Azareye’h Thomas, CB, Florida State

TRADE! PIT gets #46 pick, 2025 draft
ATL gets #52 & #122 picks, 2025 draft
(Rd 1: Luther Burden III, WR)
The run on corners, plus Atlanta's lack of draft picks, prompts this trade. Pittsburgh snags WR and CB in Rounds 1 and 2 -- Thomas is a solid press corner who had a fine Combine.

47. Cardinals: Alfred Collins, DE/DT, Texas

(Rd 1: Shemar Stewart, EDGE)
Alfred Collins is more DT than DE, and the Cardinals continue adding young talent to their front seven.

48. Dolphins: Jonah Savaiinaea, OT, Arizona

(Rd 1: Malaki Starks, S)
Savaiinaea's NFL future is inside, which fits Miami's need to address the offensive guard position.

49. Bengals: Jack Sawyer, DE, Ohio State

(Rd 1: Walter Nolen, DT)
I still think Cincy makes it work with Tee Higgins. Even if they don't, both of their first 2 picks should be on defense. Sawyer doesn't wow you with measurables -- but dude is a proven winner, and the Bengals' front seven needs those.

50. Seahawks: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss

(Rd 1: Tyler Booker, IOL)
Seahawks go QB of the future with this pick. I do think Dart inevitably becomes QB3 in this draft, and his short-to-intermediate game fits with Seattle's offensive mindset.

51. Broncos: TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State

(Rd 1: Colston Loveland, TE)
NFL.com comps TreVeyon Henderson to Aaron Jones -- Denver certainly wouldn't mind ending up with that kind of backfield talent. Good hands, good work in stretch running formations.

52. Falcons: Landon Jackson, DE, Arkansas

(from PIT in trade for #46 pick)
(Rd 1: James Pearce Jr., EDGE)
The Falcons drop back to acquire more draft capital and still end up with more juice on the defensive front. Jackson's coming off a great Combine (#2 in DE/EDGE Athleticism score).

53. Buccaneers: Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss

(Rd 1: Jihaad Campbell, LB)
A few good WR options at #53, but Tre Harris' profile is the most "Bucs-like" -- physical, strong and great strides. His 6'3", 210 lb frame is NFL ready.

54. Packers: Ozzy Trapilo, OT, Boston College

(Rd 1: Shavon Revel, CB)
Trapilo is a massive OT prospect at 6'7" with NFL pedigree (his father played for the Saints). Projects as an early swing tackle with the potential to entrench in 1-2 seasons.

55. Chargers: Jack Bech, WR, TCU

(Rd 1: Kenneth Grant, DT)
The Chargers need a big bodied WR target to complement Ladd McConkey. Bech is that guy, at 6'1" and about 215 lbs. Big, strong, good ball skills.

56. Bills: Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas

(Rd 1: Derrick Harmon, DT)
Unlike the "big body" needs of Tampa and the Chargers, Isaiah Bond's shifty speed is a nifty new weapon for Josh Allen. He'll allow creative wrinkles -- and deep shots -- in Buffalo.

57. Panthers: Darien Porter, CB, Iowa State

(Rd 1: Jalon Walker, EDGE)
The run on WRs is semi-bad news for Carolina, but there are also needs to be addressed in the secondary. Darien Porter had a really strong Combine (#3 in CB Athleticism score) and ran a blazing 4.3 40 yard dash.

58. Texans: Shemar Turner, DT, Texas A&M

(Rd 1: Emeka Egbuka, WR)
After sniping Emeka Egbuka in Round 1, the Texans stay in-state to add TAMU's Shemar Turner to the interior D-line. A bit lean for a DT, but a great first step and killer athleticism.

59. Ravens: Wyatt Milum, OT, West Virginia

(Rd 1: Nick Emmanwori, S)
The 6'6" Wyatt Milum will be called upon to replace some impending OT depth concerns in Baltimore. He probably won't start early, but he's strong and doesn't get pushed around.

60. Lions: J.T. Tuimoloau, DE, Ohio State

(Rd 1: Mike Green, EDGE)
I have no problem doubling down on DE/EDGE for Detroit -- depth is the need here, so let's get premium with depth. Tuimoloau had a great College Football Playoff AND Combine performance.

61. Commanders: Mason Taylor, TE, LSU

(Rd 1: Nic Scourton, EDGE)
This is such an ideal situation for Mason Taylor (Jason Taylor's son, by the way). Instant opportunities with a huge catch radius, and the ability to learn from Zach Ertz while playing with Jayden Daniels -- excellent fit for an ascending player.

62. Bills: Kevin Winston Jr., S, Penn State

After going DT/WR with their first 2 picks, the Bills hit the secondary for a safety. He'll need reps and development, but the intangibles, leadership and size (6' 1 1/2", 215 lbs) are all there.

63. Chiefs: Deone Walker, DT, Kentucky

(Rd 1: Gray Zabel, OT)
Yes, Walker had a bad Combine. But no, you can't teach 6'7", 331 pounds. If anyone's going to maximize the potential of a DT, it's Kansas City.

64. Eagles: Tate Ratledge, G, Georgia

(Rd 1: Mykel Williams, EDGE)
Say it with me now: "The Eagles draft trench players from Georgia. The Eagles draft trench players from Georgia." They do it twice in the first 2 rounds here -- first with a trade up for Mykel Williams, and now here with the rugged OG Tate Ratledge to close Round 2.
