Round 2

Some think that the team might opt for Carter at #2 and then try to get Dart with this pick. Well, how about Sanders and the Marshall sack master instead?

It's not like the G-Men have stars at guard with Jon Runyan and Greg Van Roten.

I'm not sure which is worse, Seattle's iOL depth chart or Tennessee's WR depth chart. (OK, I guess I'll say Seattle's is worse, as Ridley is a legit talent.) Burden would likely start right away, barring a move in free agency.

Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby were awful last season, and this is a new regime and coaching staff that should not be tied to either. Sampson could push for playing time immediately, as most rookie RB's that are high picks should.

The Raiders add to their pass rush corps with the BC sack artist here, as Maxx Crosby and the re-signed Malcolm Koonce get some help.

Obviously, the Pats need to find all the OL talent that they can, especially after not getting OL help in the 1st Round. (Wisely so, since it was Hunter on the board for them.)

TRADE! (See #29 for details.)
After the move down, Washington has Amos on the board, a player that Jeremiah mocked 26th overall to the Rams. I have to take notice, and his solid Combine workout and ideal size could mean that the club moves Mike Sainristl back to his natural slot corner position at some point.

Pearce is another player who could drop into the 2nd Round due to character concerns, but it also wouldn't be a shock if he goes significantly higher. As such, the Saints will hope to get a bargain here.

While the defense is mostly set, LCB Tyrique Stevenson was a problem a year ago, particularly in coverage. Thomas has ideal size for an outside corner and still just 20 years old, he could have room to improve.

I'm starting to get the sense that someone is going to overdraft Milroe, who is a spectacular athlete (sub-4.40 40 time) and an impressive young man, as well. Given that the team could move on from Fields in a year if he doesn't show well in 2025, and given the apparent offensive philosophy of going with Fields in the first place, I could see this regime opting for Milroe.

The 49ers need list most definitely includes CB's, so Revel could be a good value here, even if he's rehabbing a torn ACL suffered last year.

A seasoned starter at Georgia who tested better than expected in Indy, Ratledge could step into the shoes of the retiring Zack Martin.

Indy addresses the iOL hole with Milum, who should move inside to guard. And maybe it doesn't hurt that Lance Zierlein comps him to current Colts RT Braden Smith.

Justin Simmons is a free agent who is very unlikely to be back, so a new starter is needed opposite Jessie Bates.

Williams has been described as a "dancing bear" by one scouting outlet, and the Cardinals have the aging Jonah Williams, coming off an injury-married 2024, at RT. Williams only has void years remaining on his deal, so it seems like the Cardinals could invest an early pick into the OT spot.

Tyreek Hill may not be long for the team, so another speedy wideout could be added.

Another athletic defender is added by Tobin here, and Jackson helped himself greatly at the Combine.

Arroyo, Taylor, or Fannin Jr. are likely vying to be the TE3 of the draft, and Seattle opts for the Miami man in this spot.

The Broncos add to the DL depth by adding another promising pass rusher here.

As dire as the iOL situation is, perhaps Seattle will see fit to use 2 of its first 3 picks to remedy the situation. The Arizona man's power would seem to be a good fit for the way that Mike Macdonald wants his team to run the ball.

The Bucs are no stranger to using early picks to fortify the trenches on both sides of the ball.

With Jaire Alexander appearing to be on the outs, expect an early pick to be made on a CB for Green Bay.

Higgins could be what early-career Mike Williams was for the Chargers, at least in time. He has that rugged size/speed combo that will be appealing to teams, especially since he ran well in Indy.

Matt Milano has had issues staying on the field, and Schwesinger emerged for the Bruins as an impact player in his senior year.

Expect an early WR pick for the Panthers, whether that's at #8 overall or on Day 2.

The Texans don't have much at LB behind Azeez Al-Shaair, and Knight and Schwesinger are probably in a similar tier as the possible iLB2 of the draft, both behind Jihaad Campbell.

Judkins would give the Ravens another power back who is capable of handling a big workload if something happened to King Henry.

Though it looks like guard is a need on the OL, there is good value here with the lengthy and athletic Minnesota tackle here, and perhaps the Lions could see him as a fit as a powerful guard inside as he transitions to the NFL.

Mbow is an intriguing prospect because of his athleticism and basketball background, and though he played all along the OL in college, he should find a home in the pros at guard. LG Nick Allegretti was a thoroughly average starter a season ago, and if Mbow developed, Allegretti could be left behind with a small dead cap hit in 2026.

With its second pick of the round, Buffalo adds the speed and return talents of Noel.

The son of Hall of Famer Jason Taylor, Mason could offer a solution in the expected post-Kelce world in 2026 for the Chiefs.

Dallas Goedert is entering the final year of his deal, and there's even talk that the Eagles could trade him if they can get a 4th Round pick back.
