Round 1

The Titans are going to take Cam Ward. However, what they SHOULD do is take the generational two-way talents of Hunter. Play him on both sides of the ball, you cowards!

In this spot, the Browns would be wise to take the shot that Ward could be an upside franchise QB.

Carter is recovering from some injuries, but the only other player that might have a higher grade than he does is Jeanty, and the Giants can't do that.

Protect Drake Maye at all costs, if you're the Pats. It's not like veteran RT Morgan Moses is going to be close to enough. Campbell is the highest-floor OL in the draft and might be able to play LT, which means it could still be a high upside pick. And if not, fine, you get a better version of Peter Skoronski on your team. Membou just feels like he has bust potential to me.

TRADE! Jacksonville trades #5 and #107 to Chicago for #10 and #39.
Jeanty would be unbelievable for the Bears, basically completing their offense and allowing Ben Johnson to play exactly like he wants to, assuming that he can get Caleb Williams to stop absorbing a ridiculous amount of sacks. They jump the Raiders to ensure nabbing him, and with two picks near the top of Round 2, they are willing to move one of them while recouping J'ville's high-4th. As for the Jags, I think this would be smart, stockpiling high picks as they try to replenish talent on a roster that was predictably mismanaged by Trent Baalke.

Another high-floor talent, and there's nothing wrong with hitting a double or triple with your first pick rather than going for the home run.

So McMillan has Mike Evans-like speed. Oh, no! Seriously, he's looked like a man against boys since he stepped on a college field, and I think his pterodactyl-like size and ball skills will be a good stylistic match for Garrett Wilson, who is more like a jitterbug.

I think Green is the best pure pass rushing talent in the draft, after Carter. Again, give me the double (or triple) here, instead of swinging for the Shemar Stewart-like home run.

Derek Carr is obviously not the long-term answer at QB. I am higher than most on Sanders, as I believe that what he does best will translate well to the NFL. Namely, he processes and sees the field very well, and while he doesn't have a Josh Allen-like cannon or something, his arm strength is fine and he will be able to make all of the necessary throws that playcallers ask a typical pocket QB to make. The NFL game isn't chucking it deep constantly, in case you haven't noticed.

TRADE! (See #5 for details.)
While the Jags passed on the opportunity to draft Jeanty for themselves, they have picked up a premium pick at #39 overall, now drafting at 10 and 39 instead of 5 and 107. While Walter Nolen is probably more talented, again, give me what I think is the double or the triple here in Grant.

This is appropriate for Membou, as the 49ers need a succession plan for Trent Williams. And he can start his career at LG.

Barron is really good at football, and Dallas needs guys in the secondary who are really good at football.

The Dolphins should trade Tyreek Hill away, as he doesn't want to be there and, thus, he's probably not going to fully invest himself on the field. For the sake of this mock, I'm going trade Hill to the Packers for Jaire Alexander and some draft compensation that doesn't involve each team's 1st rounder. This lessens Miami's CB need a bit, and now the Packers don't have to force a 1st Round WR. As for this pick for Miami, they are in a similar spot to the 49ers, as they need a plan to replace LT Terron Armstead. Enter Banks, who, if he can't play out there, would still be a fine fix at a guard spot.

Much like Barron, Starks is just good at the game, and unlike Terry Fontenot's tendency, I'll just go with a bankable starter here.

Another draftee who is just good at the game, Zabel seems like a guy who will have a 10+ year career at an iOL spot.
