The Truth
Round 1
Struggled at the beginning of 2025 due to OL issues. Dan Campbell will not allow that to ever happen again.
Kevin O'Connell is on the hot seat. I think he's a great coach. He's known for QB development and potent offense. He'll be looking to get back to that.
Bryce Young is beginning to earn more people's respect. It's only right that he receive more protection.
With a new DC and only one solid lb (Overshown), Dallas might be thinking 4-2-5. More lb's in later rounds. Zion Young has good size. Plays like a true DE. Really good player.
Ranked near bottom of the league in pass yards allowed. Draft CB in second round because there should still be a few impact corners available. If they pass on Thieneman here, they're taking some risk at an impact coverage safety being available at this slot in the second round. Ramsey can still play at a high level, but you have to at least be mindful of his veteran status. Until then, Ramsey and Thieneman playing high together would be pretty thrilling. Having said all that, I wouldn't be surprised if McNeil-Warren ends up being the best safety in this draft. He's just not as popular as Downs and Thieneman right now.
Position upgrade. Could be one of the steals of the draft. I'm just not seeing what this man can't do.
An improved offense starts with the offensive line.
Since the Colts don't have a pick in the first round, they're Indiana product might end up in a different Great Lakes state. If this draft goes like I think it might, we could actually be looking at Cleveland as contenders. A Todd Monken reunion with Carson Beck in later rounds would provide insurance for Watson and Sanders.
Statistically, pass defense wasn't as bad as run defense. Buffalo doesn't have a second round pick. Not sure if they'll be able to improve the defense enough to win a super bowl, but drafting Caleb Banks gives them a puncher's chance. If his foot heals properly, he's a guy that can make a difference in slowing the run. Moreover, he's a big guy that should be able to deflect some passes. There might only be 3 or 4 run-stopping DT's expected to start/rotate on day one of the season in this year's draft, so Buffalo needs to move on this position early. Some of Buffalo's low number of pass yards allowed might be explained by the fact that opponents didn't need to pass. Opponents had enough success just running the ball and benefitting from time of possession. Therefore, I understand some experts calling for a position upgrade at CB. Fundamentally, I just think it's vital to stop run first.
Zachariah Branch is fast, electric, and tough. Probably, the closest thing to Steve Smith Sr. that I've seen.
Help Mahomes theme. Lane is a more vertical receiver than what the Chiefs are used to, which should be helpful near the goal line since Kelce is nearing retirement. Lane is really good. He gets open and makes outstanding adjustments to the ball. He will quickly become one of Mahome's favorite targets.
Good running game. Def addressed through FA. There might be more physically gifted receivers in this draft, but there's something to be said for dependable players that have a knack for making plays.
Position assistance. New England needs to improve at tackle, where we saw them struggle in the Superbowl. They won't give up on Will Campbell, but Max Iheanachor gives them another option. In addition, Iheanachor could be the heir apparent for veteran, Morgan Moses.
2 sacks, but only 20 years old. May get stronger. 6'6 275. Since Seattle has a solid team, they can afford to draft potential.
