Round 1

Picks 1-16 Picks 17-32 Round 2
1.
Fernando Mendoza , QB , Indiana
I really hope the Raiders don't make a mess of things like the Giants did last year by bringing in a veteran QB that isn't what he used to be. The only QB as immobile as Aaron Rogers right now is Kirk Cousins. I guess Tom Brady isn't good enough to be a mentor? Look, I actually do respect Kirk Cousins as an effective QB. He can still play. Nonetheless, doesn't it say something about the confidence you have in the younger guy? You're saying he's not ready. I teach young people. Young people hate that feeling. Even if everyone else knows best, the feeling of being held back doesn't sit well with most young people. Especially when they think they can help. I really hope this works out for Mendoza like it did for Tom Brady when he played behind Drew Bledsoe. I just think that was a different circumstance. Brady wasn't a first pick who was expected to be a star in the league. I think that creates a different mindset and level of patience for the individual. If Cousins starts and Mendoza comes in later and doesn't play well, that could be bad for Mendoza's psyche. Mendoza is the type that cares about what others think, and that's why I care about what he thinks.
2.
Jets Jets:
Arvell Reese , LB , Ohio State
Aaron Glenn is going to want his middle linebacker of the future; QB of the defense. So much work to do, and it starts here. Don't move him to edge. Reese has too much talent. I like the FA activity to address last year's defense.
3.
Jeremiyah Love , RB , Notre Dame
OL and DE do not appear to be weak spots based on player ability and FA moves. Arizona also has good RB's, but Love is too good of a talent to pass up on.
4.
Sonny Styles , LB , Ohio State
Although Tennessee traded up to draft Oluwafemi Oladejo, he hasn't been as productive as expected and he's just not as fast as Bailey. Tennessee could also use an LB upgrade, and Sonny is a generational talent.
5.
Francis Mauigoa , OT , Miami
At 20 years old, it's scary to think this man could actually still get bigger.
6.
David Bailey , DE , Texas Tech
Imagine David Bailey opposite Miles Garrett. smh
7.
Mansoor Delane , CB , LSU
Could be better at WLB and CB. With Styles gone, can't justify drafting another OLB above the best or tied for the best CB in the draft. Also, did not stop the run last year. McDonald might be gone, and 7 is too high to draft Woods (light), Banks (foot), or Orange (slightly moveable).
8.
Caleb Downs , S , Ohio State
Position upgrade. Polished, smart, instinctive, and quality playing experience. The film I've seen shows him mostly playing down. How would he be in a 2-high scheme? And we haven't seen him run a 40. Not trying to trigger any alarm bells because I still think he's a position upgrade for the Saints.
9.
Spencer Fano , OT , Utah
No one wants to see another disappointing year for Pat Mahomes. Let's eliminate the excuses, starting with protection.
10.
Kayden Proctor , OT , Alabama
No one wants to see another disappointing year for Joe Burrow. Let's eliminate the excuses, starting with protection.
11.
Rueben Bain Jr. , DE , Miami
Without a true 40-time or jumping measurements, I just don't know if the explosion we saw in college will translate to the NFL. Nonetheless, Rueben Bain is a hometown hero. I like his character and I hope he has a successful career. Let's get it!
12.
Jermod McCoy , CB , Tennessee
Allows new DC to play an effective 4-2-5. Pair this pick with DL at pick 20 and a versatile LB in round 3 to pair with Overshown. I wouldn't be shocked to see Jerry Jones try to trade up to pick 2 and take Reese. I don't think Glenn will do it, but Jerry is desperate to win a chip.
13.
Rams Rams:
Jordyn Tyson , WR , Arizona State
Would make Rams truly dominant on offense in 2026. Would also give them flexibility in terms of negotiating contracts with existing receivers. Yes, there has been a history of injuries, but the Rams can afford to take the risk given the receivers they have now. They should be drafting to win a Superbowl this year, not next year.
14.
Carnell Tate , WR , Ohio State
No one wants to see another disappointing year for Lamar Jackson. Let's eliminate the excuses, starting with the number of weapons at receiver. There are several receivers in this draft and quality will certainly be available in the second round, but the Ravens defense isn't as bad as how they played last year. Open up the offense and draft D in the second round.
15.
Kenyon Sadiq , TE , Oregon
Tampa has to be careful here. They have several needs and are in a division that is getting better. I think they should take the most talented player available. Sadiq will ensure tickets continue to get sold and coaches don't get fired. He gives you a special weapon that will ease the faithful's minds about losing Mike Evans. There are a bunch of receivers in this draft, but none of them are Mike Evans. And there's only one Sadiq at TE, so go with Sadiq. He's the closest thing to Florida's pride TE trio in Kellen Winslow Jr., Jeremy Shockey, and Greg Olsen. Drafting defense here doesn't help much because there are way too many needs, particularly at LB and CB. Todd Bowles wants to run a 3-4, but he doesn't have the LB's. If he drafts Edge, he still won't be able to play 4 down because Kansey is too small to play inside all game. They could rotate the bodies they acquired in FA, but they still wouldn't have enough LB's and CB's to play 4 down. Draft Sadiq, fire the cannons, and draft the best LB available in the second round. I was raised in Central Florida, so I'm just a fan giving my opinion here. lol
16.
Jets Jets:
Kayden McDonald , DT , Ohio State
I'm sure Glenn likes Thienemen also, but he brought in M. Fitzpatrick in FA. I trust that Glenn will aim to build his defense front to back, inside out. McDonald is the most 'sure-thing' run-stopper in this draft. Don't believe the hype, Glenn. Draft your QB with your first pick in the second round.
