Proctor quite frankly, is a freak. This is a player who was used as a running back in goal line packages at Alabama. I can already see Dan Campbell salivating at the idea of pairing Proctor opposite of Penei Sewell on the O-Line. This would also allow Detroit to keep Sewell at RT instead of potentially having to move him to the blind side.
The Cardinals move back into the first round, trading their second round pick this year and next year to take Ty Simpson. In a draft without any depth at QB someone is going to take a shot on Simpson. My bet is on the Cardinals. The Vikings on the other hand did not use their pre-draft visits on any players with first round grades. I think they are planning to move out and may already be in discussions with a few teams to move out of this spot.
I wouldn't be shocked to see the Bucs take Sadiq at 15 but as mentioned above I think they will pivot to taking an O-lineman they didn't anticipate being available. This is a player who just posted the all time record for a TE at the combine with a 4.39 40 yard dash. He would immediately give Bryce Young another weapon that they still desperately need on offense.
In a different year in a different draft Faulk probably doesn't slide to 20 but with how strong EDGE is here we are. The production was down this past year but Faulk is one of the youngest players in the class and with how bad Auburn was I'm not as concerned that he didn't put up huge numbers.
Miller is about as experienced as you can being coming out of college, logging 54 starts at Clemson. I think Pittsburgh will be looking for a player like this who can step right in and contribute on an O-Line that needs to protect Aaron Rodgers.
Some will question the fit as this would be another undersized WR on a team that already has Ladd McConkey. However the Chargers flat out need playmakers on offense and Concepcion is the best available. Over the past 3 seasons he has 31 total touchdowns between receiving, rushing, and returning.
The Eagles will look to add to their O-Line this draft with Lane Johnson almost assuredly retiring at the end of next season. Freeling has about as much upside as anyone in the draft. Standing 6'7" 315 lbs he ran a 4.93 40 at the combine and has a 33 inch vertical. With his rare size and athletic ability he's exactly the type of player the Eagles will look to develop.
The Browns have met with almost every O-Lineman with a first round grade. That could signal them taking one at #6, or it could mean they wait until now to take the best of who is left. My gut says they take Carnell Tate first and then Lomu here. Lomu has started at LT the past two seasons at Utah, allowing the already drafted Spencer Fano to slide over to RT. You don't make that move to slide your best lineman to the right side unless you have a stud to plug in at LT.
The Bears lost 4 of their top 5 secondary contributors from last season so they will be looking to recoup some of what they lost in this years draft. Thieneman is a 3 year starter who has played free safety, corner, and strong safety. He also ran a 4.35 40 at the combine. This is exactly the type of player Dennis Allen will be looking to add to the Bears secondary.
26.
It's no secret that the Bears need another weapon on offense, even after adding DJ Moore this offseason. Brazell would bring a different skillset to the table, as 43% of his career receiving yards have come on targets of 20 yards or longer. At 6'4" 200lbs, he ran a 4.37 40 at the combine. In my opinion this is a better version of Gabe Davis who has had his best years in the NFL as Josh Allen's deep threat.
Another WR goes in the first round. After investing in Brock Purdy the 49ers also need to invest in targets for him to throw the ball to as well. The injury to George Kittle kills them going into next season, the Ayuik extension has been a complete disaster, and a couple seasons after drafting Ricky Pearsall in the first round we still do not know the type of player he can be.
After locking up Will Anderson to a record extension, wouldn't it make sense to put a run stuffing true D Tackle next to him up front? This would establish a true positional advantage for the Texans. I expect Demeco Ryans to add to his defense this pick a year removed after taking two wide receivers early in the draft.
This could be a reach but a team like the Chiefs does not care about where guys are going in mock drafts. Ponds is a ball hawk who thrived under Curt Cignetti at both James Madison and Indiana. You could say that he has a lower ceiling than other prospects considering how well he's been coached up in college. I'd argue that the Chiefs are getting a game changing type player that is ready to step in and make an impact on a defense that just traded away Trent McDuffie.
Having gone to Miami, Mesidor gets to stay and play for the Dolphins in the same stadium he played his college games on Saturdays. I've seen him going as high as 15 in some mocks, however I think he falls to the bottom due to his age (he turns 25 during his rookie year) and the fact that he played opposite of Reuben Bain who required so much attention last season.
Howell was the best defensive player in the SEC last year, with freakish speed on the outside. He posted the fastest pass rush speed at the combine since Will Anderson. The knock as we've seen with multiple prospects this year is his short arm size. Despite some of his measurables, Mike Vrabel takes a swing at a player that would fill a similar role to that of Harold Landry when he coached in Tennessee.
Price is not a first round talent but with Kenneth Walker leaving and Charbonnet's health in question, the Super Bowl champs cannot afford to go into next season without a starting caliber running back. Price simply put has not had the opportunity to showcase what he could do as a feature back, having played behind Jeremiah Love at Notre Dame the past couple seasons. I think Seattle would be getting a sleeper candidate for offensive rookie of the year here.
