Hinkie's Tanking Less Evil than League Interference

All the Hinkie haters are so happy to see any sign that Hinkie's time as GM is over they may be overlooking the fact that for a league to step in and basically assign a GM to a team is probably way more distasteful and potentially damaging to the League than deciding to not sign FAs and play your young guys for a few seasons.

I can buy into the threat of the slippery slope Hinie's tank job represented, and that if teams followed suit it would ruin the integrity of competition in the league.  But if it's true Silver forced Colangelo onto the Sixers, and that Colangelo really has final say, and may angle to place his son in Hinkie's place....that's not a threat to the league that's a threat to the American way...an afront to capitalism itself....reeking of nepotism.

If Sivler basically forced a new GM onto the Sixers, once all the celebrating of Hinkie's demise is over the league will wake up to a day where things are even worse.  Instead of one team potentially going to far because they didn't sign some average FAs...you'll have a league where for every bottom 5 team the question will be...should the league step in and fix them?

So I really hope the extent of this Colangelo assignment was Silver saying hey talk to this guy, maybe use him as a consultant and to help makeover your image...and that is it.  If not we've started down a far more dire slippery slope.
