2008 Mock Draft UPDATED MONDAY, APRIL 30!

2008 NFL Draft Player Rankings now being posted!

  1. Oakland Raiders: Chris Henry, RB, Arizona
Al Davis loves speed and needs a running back for the future.

  2. Detroit Lions: Brandon Mebane, DT, California
Help for Detroit's pitiful defensive front.

  3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Usama Young, CB, Kent State
The Buccaneers appear to be interested in this underrated prospect from Kent State.

  4. Cleveland Browns: Michael Bush, RB, Louisville
The Browns need a long-term solution at running back. Michael Bush, a huge injury risk, is worth a shot in the fourth round.

  5. San Francisco 49ers: Chad Nkang, ILB, Elon
The 49ers don't have much talent at inside linebacker.

  6. Arizona Cardinals: Walter Thomas, NT, NW Mississippi Community
A huge nose tackle for Arizona's new 3-4 defense.

  7. Minnesota Vikings: Ray McDonald, DE, Florida
Minnesota registered just 30 sacks last year, as no one on the team accumulated more than 5?.

  8. Houston Texans: Sabby Piscitelli, SS, Oregon State
Glenn Earl and C.C. Brown form the league's worst safety tandem.

  9. Miami Dolphins: Doug Datish, C, Ohio State
More help for Miami's offensive line.

  10. Atlanta Falcons: Mason Crosby, K, Colorado
The Falcons replaced 46-year-old Morten Anderson with Aaron Elling, who is 5-of-11 from beyond 40 yards in his career. Not good.

  11. San Francisco 49ers: Jacoby Jones, WR, Lane
More receiving depth for the 49ers.

  12. Buffalo Bills: Manuel Ramirez, G, Texas Tech
The Bills have no depth behind Derrick Dockery and Duke Preston.

  13. Green Bay Packers: Kevin Boss, TE, Western Oregon
Bubba Franks has gotten progressively worse over the past few years, so the Packers could be looking for a tight end early in the draft.

  14. Jacksonville Jaguars: Stewart Bradley, OLB, Nebraska
Value pick for the Jaguars; Stewart Bradley's the best player available at this point.

  15. Cincinnati Bengals: Chansi Stuckey, WR, Clemson
With Chris Henry suspended for eight games, the Bengals' No. 3 receiver position is open to Glenn Holt and Tab Perry.

  16. Tennessee Titans: Dan Bazuin, DE, Central Michigan
It?s amazing the Titans nearly qualified for the playoffs without a legitimate pass rush.

  17. New York Giants: David Clowney, WR, Virginia Tech
With Amani Toomer's career quickly coming to an end, the Giants need a legitimate No. 2 receiver.

  18. St. Louis Rams: Leroy Harris, C, N.C. State
Andy McCollum, St. Louis? starting center, turns 37 in June.

  19. Carolina Panthers: Michael Okwo, MLB, Stanford
The injured reserve is Dan Morgan's second home. A decent backup is required.

  20. Pittsburgh Steelers: David Irons, CB, Auburn
Ike Taylor signed a huge contract last year but was benched during the course of the 2006 season.

  21. Seattle Seahawks: Fred Bennett, CB, South Carolina
Seattle seriously can't afford to start signing cornerbacks off the street again in 2007.

  22. Atlanta Falcons: Rufus Alexander, OLB, Oklahoma
With Keith Brooking moving inside, the Falcons need some depth at outside linebacker.

  23. Dallas Cowboys: Keenan Carter, NT, Virginia
Some depth behind Jason Ferguson is needed; Ferguson turns 33 in November.

  24. New Orleans Saints: Courtney Brown, CB, Cal Poly-SLO
As one e-mailer pointed wrote to me, "You must know that the Saints have no CB depth and yet you do not pick a second CB in the fourth round. I feel that this is unwise. I do expect the Saints to draft two corners, both of whom will play in 2007."

  25. San Francisco 49ers: Travarous Bain, CB, Hampton
Nate Clements was signed, but depth is still needed.

  26. New Orleans Saints: Baraka Atkins, DE, Miami
Baraka Atkins will provide the depth at defensive end that the Saints currently lack.

  27. Indianapolis Colts: Marshal Yanda, G/OT, Iowa
The Colts have only three guards on the depth chart.

  28. New England Patriots: Tim Shaw, OLB, Penn State
The Patriots satisfied most of their needs this offseason, but their reserves at outside linebacker leave much to be desired.

  29. Tennessee Titans: Brannon Condren, SS, Troy State
More help at defensive back for a secondary that hasn't been able to stop the pass for years.

  30. San Diego Chargers: Garrett Wolfe, RB, Northern Illinois
Just in case Michael Turner goes elsewhere.

  31. Chicago Bears: Brandon Myles, WR, West Virginia
Muhsin Muhammad turns 34 in May. This could be his final season with the Bears.

  32. Indianapolis Colts: Michael Johnson, SS, Arizona
Depth replacement for free-agent Mike Doss.

  33. Pittsburgh Steelers: Ryan McBean, DT, Oklahoma State
If the Steelers plan to transition into the 4-3, they'll need some traditional defensive tackles.

  34. Atlanta Falcons: Mansfield Wrotto, G, Georgia Tech
Atlanta needs some larger lineman now that it is transitioning out of the zone-blocking scheme.

  35. Baltimore Ravens: Jordan Palmer, QB, UTEP
Steve McNair played like he was 100 years old against the Colts. Ravens take Carson Palmer's younger brother.

  36. San Francisco 49ers: Jackie Battle, RB/FB, Houston
Can play tailback and fullback, and would provide depth.

  37. Indianapolis Colts: DeShawn Wynn, RB, Florida
Joseph Addai has never carried the load by himself.

  38. Baltimore Ravens: Tim Duckworth, G, Auburn
Baltimore's offensive line is in shambles.
