2008 Mock Draft UPDATED MONDAY, APRIL 30!

2008 NFL Draft Player Rankings now being posted!

  1. Oakland Raiders: Antonio Johnson, DT, Mississippi State
The Raiders have no depth at defensive tackle.

  2. Detroit Lions: Yamon Figurs, WR, Kansas State
Assuming they trade the right to pick Calvin Johnson, Mike Martz would like to add another quick receiver. Yamon Figurs ran a 4.30 at the Combine.

  3. Cleveland Browns: Rhema McKnight, WR, Notre Dame
Cleveland barely has anyone behind Braylon Edwards and Joe Jurevicius.

  4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Nate Harris, OLB, Louisville
A quick linebacker for the Tampa-2.

  5. Arizona Cardinals: Anthony Pudewell, TE, Nevada
Will play the role of Jerame Tuman in Ken Whisenhunt's offense.

  6. Washington Redskins: Jay Moore, DE, Nebraska
The Redskins haven't drafted in a while. How are they going to take care of all their needs?

  7. Houston Texans: Dallas Baker, WR, Florida
Houston's No. 2 receiver is Kevin Walter. Yeesh.

  8. Detroit Lions: Michael Allan, TE, Whitworth
The Lions lack a big-time tight end, and after his great Combine, Michael Allan is a steal at this juncture.

  9. Minnesota Vikings: Jay Alford, DT, Penn State
Minnesota's only depth behind Kevin Williams and Pat Williams is a guy named Spencer Johnson.

  10. San Francisco 49ers: Anthony Arline, CB, Baylor
Extensive secondary depth is a must in the receiver-friendly NFC West.

  11. Kansas City Chiefs: Brandon Jackson, RB, Nebraska
The Chiefs have told everyone they're drafting a running back early, so they probably won't take one until Round 5.

  12. Atlanta Falcons: Kolby Smith, RB, Louisville
A Bobby Petrino recruit and a short-yardage back.

  13. Jacksonville Jaguars: Toby Korrodi, QB, Central Missouri
A young quarterback to compete with Byron Leftwich and David Garrard.

  14. Cincinnati Bengals: Marcus Thomas, DT, Florida
Just in case Chris Henry gets arrested. Again.

  15. Tennessee Titans: Andy Alleman, G, Akron
The Titans lost Zach Piller, so they now have depth issues at the guard position.

  16. New York Giants: Dallas Sartz, OLB, USC
One of many needs the Giants have this offseason.

  17. Detroit Lions: Daren Stone, SS, Maine
The loss of Terrence Holt creates depth issues.

  18. Carolina Panthers: Roy Hall, WR, Ohio State
Another much-needed weapon for Jake Delhomme and David Carr.

  19. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kasey Studdard, G, Texas
Even after signing Sean Mahan, the Steelers need depth on their interior line.

  20. Green Bay Packers: Earl Everett, OLB, Florida
The Packers desperately need better talent backing up A.J. Hawk and Brady Poppinga.

  21. Detroit Lions: Jason Snelling, FB, Virginia
Cory Schlesinger's gone. The Lions have about five million fourth-round picks, so they can take a fullback.

  22. Dallas Cowboys: Melvin Bullitt, SS, Texas A&M
The Cowboys signed Ken Hamlin, but they still have zero depth behind Roy Williams.

  23. Kansas City Chiefs: Ryne Robinson, WR/KR, Miami of Ohio
A return specialist to take Dante Hall's spot.

  24. Seattle Seahawks: Cameron Stephenson, G, Rutgers
The guard position isn't a top priority now that Chris Gray has been re-signed, but the Seahawks still need depth there.

  25. Philadelphia Eagles: Dwayne Wright, RB, Fresno State
The Eagles need a big back. Dwayne Wright (230 pounds) rushed for 1,462 yards last year.

  26. New Orleans Saints: Tony Taylor, OLB, Georgia
The Saints fixed the middle linebacker position by signing Brian Simmons. Now they have to improve the outside.

  27. New York Jets: Uche Nwaneri, G, Purdue
Left guard Pete Kendall turns 34 in July, while right guard Brandon Moore isn't exactly the best lineman in the world.

  28. Oakland Raiders: Carl Berman, WR, Indiana State
Another receiver for the team that needs a billion.

  29. Baltimore Ravens: Gerald Alexander, FS, Boise State
Baltimore currently has zero depth at the safety position.

  30. San Diego Chargers: Justin Warren, ILB, Texas A&M
More linebacking help for a team that lost three interior players at that position this offseason.

  31. Chicago Bears: Clint Session, OLB, Pittsburgh
I thought the Bears needed linebacking depth even before the whole Lance Briggs fiasco.

  32. Indianapolis Colts: Joel Filani, WR, Texas Tech
More depth at receiver is definitely needed.

  33. Pittsburgh Steelers: Daniel Sepulevda, P, Baylor
Although he?s been a reliable punter for years, Chris Gardocki showed his age (37) last year. The Steelers need a new punter.

  34. New England Patriots: Darius Walker, RB, Notre Dame
Call me crazy, but I don't think Sammy Morris is a long-term backup for Laurence Maroney.

  35. San Diego Chargers: Tala Esera, G, Hawaii
The Chargers have only three guards on the roster.

  36. Indianapolis Colts: Troy Smith, QB, Ohio State
Will serve as a decent understudy, assuming Jim Sorgi will take a starting gig somewhere else next year. I think Troy Smith may slip this far on Draft Day.

  37. Baltimore Ravens: Eric Frampton, SS, Washington State
As I said before, Baltimore lacks reserves at safety. They literally have no one behind Ed Reed and Dawan Landry on the depth chart.
