Predicting each team’s record in 2020
The season is right around the corner and I decided to make my predictions for how it goes 32-1. This is all assuming that there are 16 games.
32. NY Jets (2-14)
This team has simply the worst roster going into 2020, too many losses and hardly any gains, Darnolds proven mediocre at best and if he goes down it could get even uglier.
31. Washington (3-13)
Not much of note here, I guess the team has Alex Smith to fall back on if Haskins proves ineffective, depending on if you believe he’s actually healthy or not.
30. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-13)
Many believe that they will be the worst, but I believe Minshew is good enough to win them some games, bad but not the worst.
29. NY Giants (4-12)
Not a talented roster by any standard, Dan Jones can’t keep fumbling like he does or this season will be very short for NY.
28. Cincinnati Bengals (5-11)
Team will improve under Burrow but it will take time…
27. Chicago Bears (5-11)
This team has pieces but that’s it, neither Foles or Trubisky is the answer so don’t expect much from this team…
26. New England Patriots (5-11)
Roster has been quite depleted, don’t expect much….
25. Los Angeles Chargers (6-10)
Herbert will have growing pains; this team has some players but not enough…
24. Arizona Cardinals (6-10)
Showed signs of improvement last year, too tough a division and still not enough talent to have a winning season.
23. Atlanta Falcons (6-10)
Should have fired their coach, they’ll regret it after another lackluster season…
22. Detroit Lions (7-9)
I actually think they could be worse but their qbs good enough to win games, if he goes down again they could be…
21. Miami Dolphins (7-9)
The Dolphins won what I would call the absolute maximum of games last year for the talent they had, their rebuild looked long and painful, but with New England far gone from what it was it will make improvement even easier…
20. Denver Broncos (8-8)
Drew Lock looks like he can do some things; team is probably going to have a mediocre season…
19. Carolina Panthers (8-8)
Team opted to not have an extreme rebuild, but it still won’t pay off right away…
18. Los Angeles Rams (8-8)
Team is stuck in salary cap hell, don’t expect much…
17. Tennessee Titans (8-8)
They way over paid for a mediocre qb, don’t expect last year’s performance…
16. Philadelphia Eagles (8-8)
So much depends on if Wentz can have a complete year…
15. Oakland Raiders (9-7)
Team is due for at least a decent year…
14. Buffalo Bills (9-7)
Not that great of a team, but good enough to win what will be a lousy division…
13. Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7)
Team never seems to have a bad year; I don’t expect Big Ben at his prime though.
12. Indianapolis Colts (9-7)
Team will probably improve under Rivers, but not enough to do much as far as playoffs are concerned…
11. Dallas Cowboys (10-6)
Not that great of a team, but in a bad division, so that will inflate the win total a bit…
10. Seattle Seahawks (10-6)
Team still holds solid under Wilson, but not quite what they were…
9. Cleveland Browns (10-6)
We get the season we thought we would get last year from this team, albeit without the crazy expectations, smarter coaching improves this team along with some solid additions in Conklin, Hooper, and Wills.
8. Tampa Bay Bucs (10-6)
Brady is in decline but slow decline, not his best year but still good enough for a playoff appearance…
7. Houston Texans (10-6)
Losing Hopkins is losing a lot; team is still good enough to win its division though…
6. Green Bay Packers (11-5)
Team is still solid, but not quite as good as last year, poor offseason…
5. Minnesota Vikings (11-5)
Team is still very solid, but will probably just be a repeat of last year…
4. SF 49ers (12-4)
Teams Defense and Garoppolos game managing should keep them high in the standings…
3. New Orleans Saints (12-4)
Team still has what it takes to be among the best but after last year’s early exit but how far will they go?...
2. Baltimore Ravens (12-4)
Team is still pretty good, but don’t expect 14-2…
1. KC Chiefs (13-3)
Best Qb, best team, not much loss in the offseason…
