Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Bears: Caleb Williams, QB, USC

Usually if there's a question about the current QB and there's a prospect like this we know how it goes. It all depends if they feel like they've seen what they need to see from Fields. The only knock on Williams is thinks he is going to get part ownership in a team which is raising questions and rightfully so. I would fully understand if they pass up but it seems more and more likely this is going to happen. The arm talent and throwing on the run is incredible in Williams. Had an "off" year this year but lost his best receiver when Addison was drafted to Minnesota last year. When it was all said and done was responsible for about 90 TDs in two seasons. I think if Williams just shut his mouth he's a mortal lock here but either way I think Chicago stays and makes this pick. A lot of comparisons to Mahomes with the arm talent but Williams runs a lot better. Don't think he will have the success that Mahomes has had. I think they can get an early second rounder for Fields. If it were up to me I'd take Marvin Harrison here.

Pro Comparison:
Kyler Murray

2. Commanders: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

Jayden Daniels showed out this year and went from a potential third rounder to a top three pick. I honestly think he has the chance to be the best QB from this class. A new GM and still a new coach to come but they have to reset the mess they made. A lot of comparisons to Lamar Jackson. Washington has a lot of work to do but mostly on the O line and the whole defense.

Pro Comparison:
Lamar Jackson

3. Patriots: Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina

Maye didn't have quite the season everyone was expecting but did lose about everyone on offense from last year. I think Daniels is almost a lock to go before him now. New England has a lot to fix on their roster.

Pro Comparison:
Justin Herbert

4. Cardinals: Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State

The best WR prospect since probably Julio Jones and I still think there is a chance Chicago could take him at number one if they don't take Williams. Giving Kyler Murray a true number one receiver would solve a lot of problems there. They have way more needs on defense but you cannot pass up on Harrison. He's the best player in this draft.

Pro Comparison:
AJ Green

5. Chargers: Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia

Don't think there's anyway he makes it out of the top seven picks in this thing. But he seems to be a perfect fit here. One of the best tight end prospects in a while.

Pro Comparison:
George Kittle

6. Giants: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

With the top three QBs off the board they have to go WR. They could go on the offensive line but depends if Alt and Fashanu will move to right tackle. Andrew Thomas is the only solid part of the line. They have not had a number one receiver since prime OBJ. The biggest thing Nabers has on Harrison as a prospect is the explosiveness but I think the gap between Nabers and Harrison is still there. Nabers is exactly what the Giants need. He knows how to get open and I think will be a very good pro.

Pro Comparison:
Amari Cooper

7. Titans: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

If there wasn't three QB needy teams and elite WR prospects at the top he would go in that range. They drafted Skoronski last year and he's been solid, not great, at guard. Levis seems to be the answer so far so give him some protection.

8. Falcons: Dallas Turner, OLB, Alabama

First defensive player off the board here? They do need help on the edge and Dallas Turner showed what he can do. He had 10 sacks but he was even better against the run. Again, with the top three QBs off the board Atlanta is more than likely to look in another direction. They could be a team that makes the move for Fields

Pro Comparison:
Brian Burns

9. Bears: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

This is an incredibly deep receiver class. But the top three seem to have separated themselves. In that it goes Harrison then Nabers or Odunze. He might not be as explosive as the other two but Odunze is an incredibly smart route runner and that's where he makes up for it.

Pro Comparison:
Keenan Allen

10. Jets: Taliese Fuaga, G/OT, Oregon State

Their O line sucks but to be fair they were banged up. They desperately need help at tackle. I think they will look to add a wide receiver in free agency and get arguably the best tackle in the draft.

11. Vikings: Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson

The defense has been holding them back for years. Kirk Cousins has actually been very good. He might have the best receiver in football but he's still good. Flores plays a very aggressive style of defense which can leave their corners on islands. They need someone who can cover. Wiggins seems to be a lock for first corner off the board given his skillset.

Pro Comparison:
Christian Gonzalez

12. Broncos: Laiatu Latu, DE, UCLA

Looks like the Russell Wilson experiment is over. Would imagine they'll be looking to add a QB in free agency and draft Penix or Nix later. Latu I think will be the best edge defender in this draft and I think it will be him or Dallas Turner here. Depending who goes first.

14. Saints: Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU

Michael Thomas is most likely gone. They need someone to pair with Olave and Thomas seems to be a perfect fit. One of the most physically gifted receivers in this draft.

Pro Comparison:
Tee Higgins

15. Colts: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

Colts need help in the secondary. Surprisingly this team isn't far off. Richardson showed a lot of promise in a short time frame last season. McKinstry is a better cover corner than Arnold and I think that will give him the edge on draft position. But it's all preference.

Pro Comparison:
Marlon Humphrey

16. Seahawks: Byron Murphy II, DT, Texas

They've been struggling against the run for years now. I think they go somewhere on the defensive line here and Murphy has the physicality they need on the inside. I do think they stick with Geno. He's been good.

17. Jaguars: J.C. Latham, OT, Alabama

How about this collapse? Think this pick is going toward the offensive line they weren't great down the stretch. Latham was one of the bright spots even when Alabama was struggling earlier in the year. Unlike Evan Neal he seems to be better against faster edge rushers.
