Round 1
Jacksonville has a major CB need across from Campbell and fill it with draft riser Mitchell. He aced the pre draft process to become a solid mid 1st Rd pick from the Group of 5 member Toledo.
Tee Higgins wants out and Cincy gets a very comparable replacement here with Thomas. He just needs to cut back on the drops but he has talent for days and is solidly my WR4 this year.
Haven't had a trade in a while so welcome to pick #19 Dallas. The Rams get picks #24 & #87 and Dallas gets back pick #154 to go with #19. Latham is a RT by trade but he'll start at LG for a year or 2 until they move on from Steele at RT.
Pittsburgh needs to get younger on defense. DeJean was a question mark for Rd 1 until his recent pro day where he showed he is all healed up from a broken leg last year. He is truly a DB as he can play any position in the defensive backfield and will probably start out in the slot.
I'm very high on Barton and even considered him for Chicago at pick #13. Barton is an easy mover and will slot in as an immediate starter at guard for Miami this year.
Philly is always drafting a year ahead of the need. Lane Johnson might play for a few more years but Mims needs more seasoning anyways. He can sit and learn for a year or two, or even play some guard if needed in the meantime before he takes over at RT. Plus it's a Georgia guy going to Philadelphia, that's just what happens.
Latu, falling due to medical concerns, would have probably been the top edge rusher off the board otherwise. Arizona is still kicking themselves for trading down last year and not taking Will Anderson. They try to right that wrong with this selection.
When Byron Murphy was off the board they shifted focus to Robinson and smartly trade down to get better value for him here. The surprising retirement of Aaron Donald lead them to ensure they leave Rd 1 with some D-line help.
Remember earlier about Washington needing to make sure they protect Daniels. They have a huge hole at LT and even though Guyton played RT at Oklahoma, they will shift him over to protect Daniels blindside for years to come. Green Bay gets picks #36 & #78 in return and now have 3 2nd & 3rd Rd picks this year.
Tampa needs some youth and Robinson will provide just that to form and very young edge rushing due with Diaby. Chop tested himself into 1st Rd consideration this year.
Arizona's 3rd 1st Rd pick is Wiggins, a slender but extremely fast CB. What a haul in Nabers, Latu, Wiggins and they still have pick #35 at the top of Rd 2 coming up, Wow!
I just can't get away from this pick. Was mocking it before they traded Diggs and now it's almost in cement. I like Mitchell as my WR5 this year and the Bills will hope he quickly turns into the top WR they don't currently have.
The host Lions hope their fans drink the Kool-Aid with this pick. Seriously, they need CB help with a fella getting arrested and such. A foot injury dropped him a bit but he manages to hold onto a Rd 1 spot.
I like Fuaga, just not as much as some. I think he can definitely go way higher than this but i just couldn't find a spot. Leave it to Baltimore to get a steal at a position of need, it's what they do. He'll start right away at RT.
Not many have this connection but it's 1 that I really like. San Francisco drafts 1st Rd D-linemen. Newton didn't have the best pre draft process but I still feel the end of Rd 1 is a justified spot for him.
Kansas City needed a WR before Rice went all GTA. Now they have to grab a wide-out high and preferably 1 without any character concerns. That's Legette, a 1 year wonder at South Carolina who put up amazing testing numbers.
