Round 1

Obvious pick. One of the best QB's I've ever evaluated in college.

I'm not a huge fan of him as a passer, but he's the consensus 2nd best QB and the Commanders need one.

***PICK TRADED TO THE VIKINGS***
The Vikings want to trade up for a QB and the Patriots want to trade down for more picks and still get a QB. Easy trade projection.

It's close between Harrison and Nabers, but Harrison is bigger and more productive over the last 2 seasons. Then you know, pedigree/nepotism factors in...

***PICK TRADED TO THE TITANS***
The titans really need a LT and the love Joe Alt. They know the Chargers will take him unless they trade up for him.

The Giants have a glaring need at WR, more so than QB. Nabers seems to be ranked higher than Odunze in most mock drafts, though the Giants seem to like them both.

***PICK TRADED TO THE CHARGERS***
The Chargers trade down and still get what they need which is a RT. Latham is the best RT in the draft.

Raheem Morris was a former secondary coach with the Bucs before he became a DC. His defense is dependent on shutdown CB's that create turnovers like Aqib Talib and Jalen Ramsey. Mitchell fits that same mold.

Keenan Allen is in the last year of his contract so they need a WR#1 to start grooming for the future. Odunze is the same type of WR as Allen: a great route runner with great hands and size who can win 50/50 balls.

The Jets are lucky enough to have the TE they need fall right into their lap. They get a weapon for Rodgers who can also run block.

***PICK TRADED TO THE VIKINGS***
This is about where McCarthy should be drafted since he hasn't proven he can put up big numbers, especially without a good run game to support him.

The Broncos have to get a QB and with the others gone they can't risk trading down and still hope to land one with Saints and Seahawks lurking in the middle of the 1st round. I think Nix and Sean Payton will be a great match as Nix has Brees-like accuracy and pocket presence.

Their new HC has said he wants a runner and a proven winner at QB and Penix Jr. is both of those.

Their current OTs are either lousy (LT) or coming off an injury. Fashanu in my opinion is the best pass protector in the draft.

Clearly with their pick of A. Richardson at QB last year the Colts are focusing on size/speed guys and Worthy ran the fastest 40 ever at the Combine. A match made in heaven!

The Seahawks need a ball haw at safety. Plus with their HC previously the DC in Baltimore, he knows a great is often led by a great secondary and they already have great CBs.
