Fully predictive mock. I'm trying to guess exactly what will happen on draft day.

Round 1

Picks 1-16 Picks 17-32
1.
Fernando Mendoza , QB , Indiana
Ya basic
2.
Jets Jets:
Arvell Reese , LB , Ohio State
Very confident it will be Reese.
3.
Francis Mauigoa , OT , Miami
Might not be fun or flashy, but Cardinals needs O-line badly, and if they can't find a trade partner (nobody's coming up to three), they'll bite the bullet. The tackle guard flexibility of Mauigoa sets them up for the future.
4.
Rueben Bain Jr. , DE , Miami
In the midst of all the Jeremiyah Love hype, I'm here to be your voice of reason. Screw arm length, Bain has some of the best tape in the class at a premium position. I don't see Saleh passing him up, given how much he transforms their D-line.
5.
Jeremiyah Love , RB , Notre Dame
Quite an unpopular pick for some reason. Everyone acting like Skat can't be part of the best 1-2 punch in the league. Could see this being Downs, highly doubt it's Styles, and something tells me they won't go O-line, especially with Mauigoa off the board.
6.
David Bailey , DE , Texas Tech
TRADE!! Browns trade back again, Cowboys go all in to compete and work to keep their other first too. They need pass rush and they swing for hometown upside.
7.
Caleb Downs , S , Ohio State
Really tough spot to be in. They probably should take receiver, but I kind of think they'd rather go BPA on defense because man, Dan Quinn needs to get things right. Unsure if he drops to to injury concerns though. Something to monitor.
8.
Carnell Tate , WR , Ohio State
The obvious pick if he's available.
9.
Kenyon Sadiq , TE , Oregon
This pick will surprise some, but the Chiefs quietly need another weapon, and with Kelce out the door, they'll be looking to continue their historic tight end lineage.
10.
Sonny Styles , LB , Ohio State
Feels obvious. Linebacker was SUCH a problem this season, and Styles has the RAS the Bengals love.
11.
Makai Lemon , WR , USC
Really tough pick to make. They need everything and have a first-time GM, they could go a thousand different directions. Out of all of their needs though, receiver is the biggest. Hafley made it work with CB situation in GB too, so I'm out on this being corner.
12.
Monroe Freeling , OT , Georgia
Browns trade back and nab a key O-line piece for the future. Perhaps they go receiver, or simply pick Tate at 6, but this way they net picks, move up in the first round with their second pick, setting them up for a receiver, and address O-line with their top available prospect.
13.
Rams Rams:
Spencer Fano , OT , Utah
Officially the weirdest pick in my draft. I'm just not buying the receiver hype for the Rams, and ultimately don't view them as having any major needs to contend now. Unless they get a crazy BPA option at 13, look for them to trade back or simply build for the future. Fano provides tackle-guard flexibility, both as a useful 6th man if they need it this season, and as a future guard when they both current guards hit free agency next year.
14.
Prospect not selected
I think the Ravens would love Spencer Fano, but in this mock he doesn't make it to them. Instead they make the no brainer pick of Vega.
15.
Akheem Mesidor , DE , Miami
Bucs have been teetering between contending and blowing everything up, and this pick helps solidify that course. They get a pro-ready pass rusher today, and if they can't manage to compete over the next couple of years, so be it. Mesidor doesn't need to be their edge of the future, but he can be a really good player today.
16.
Jets Jets:
Jermod McCoy , CB , Tennessee
A lot of different directions the Jets could go. I kind of think they may double down on defense and save receiver for day 2, and Mccoy has so much upside at a position they need.
