Round 1
I still believe this is the most unpredictable top 5 possibly in NFL draft history.
Also, I still believe Caleb Williams prefers the Bears not draft him but Daniels didn't do himself any favors at his Pro Day or with how he's handled this process.
I believe if he took the approach of Rome Odunze Daniels would be the unquestionable concensus #1 overall pick because he had the Bears GM very high on the prospect of either trading down or drafting him here.
However, aside from the greatest smokescreen in draft history if the Bears don't trade down Caleb Williams is going to Chicago.
Washington gets there top rated prospect at #2 overall. The only reason I believe Daniels will go here is because if Chicago trades below 3 with there highest positioned partner the Giants they will miss out on both Daniels and McCarthy - so my guess is on a coin flip its Daniels over McCarthy and Maye here as he has some extra intangibles that could make Washington a level of dynamic that at the moment only the Chiefs and Ravens are able to achieve.
Patriots need draft capital and opt to build around an severely overlooked and undervauled Jacoby Brisset who Jerod Mayo never thought should have left New England. Vikings are the perfect partner as they are loaded with high value draft capital and desperate for a QB since Captain Kirk left for Atl.
Cardinals take draft capital and Nabers to allow Chargers to draft MHJ and the Giants secure there franchise QB in Drake Maye.
Most pro ready player in the draft and it's almost too perfect that he lands with the Chargers. Get ready for Herbert to Harrison Jr. for years to come. A la Manning to Harrison Sr.
Best player available and biggest need. Plus they picked up extra draft capital. Win-win.
