Some minor tweaks to our Mock 2.0 after a wild start to NFL Free Agency.

Round 1

Picks 1-16 Picks 17-32
1.
Fernando Mendoza , QB , Indiana
No changes here. The Raiders recently moved off of veteran quarterback Geno Smith, making it even clearer that Mendoza is the guy here.
2.
Arvell Reese , LB , Ohio State
The Jets recently signed middle linebacker Demario Davis, an elite player who has the experience and ability to share with a young and promising player like Reese. They'll likely play beside each other as linebackers and Reese will get many opportunities off the edge aswell.
3.
David Bailey , DE , Texas Tech
Although Jacoby Brissett is a fantastic backup and bridge Quarterback, the Cardinals must begin looking at someone for the future. There has been interest in Ty Simpson, although selecting him at pick 3 is a massive reach. A trade-down to acquire multiple first-round picks would be an ideal situation for the Cardinals.
For the current selection at hand without trades, the Cardinals are likely picking David Bailey or Spencer Fano. Bailey has more of the qualities you look for as an early pick over Fano, although the Cardinals offensive line is very weak.
4.
Jeremiyah Love , RB , Notre Dame
The Titans and new Head Coach Robert Saleh went on a spending spree to start free agency, acquiring 12 new players via trades or free agent signings. Now the team isn't a Super Bowl contender, but I've seen what Saleh can do with mediocre defences, and this defence looks loaded on paper. With that being said, second-year Quarterback Cam Ward could use some assistance and someone to take the pressure off... enter Jeremiyah Love.
(Pollard only has $2 million dead cap and can easily be released if necessary)
5.
Caleb Downs , S , Ohio State
The Giants made some decent starting additions on defence and offence as new Head Coach John Harbaugh has began putting his personality on this team. The team still lacks a WR 2 and the offensive line is still weak and injury prone, but I believe the Giants will address that after round 1. Caleb Downs is the pick to sure up a weak secondary and even play in the nickel.
6.
Spencer Fano , OT , Utah
The Browns desperately needed offensive line help and they did just that, acquiring three new offensive line starters. The significant weak spot is left tackle that still needs to be addressed. Spencer Fano is the pick here.
7.
Sonny Styles , LB , Ohio State
The Commanders had plenty of holes to fill when free agency began, and after a slow first day, Adam Peters went on a spending spree adding many new starters. Now for the sake of this mock, the Commanders have three options here, trade down, Carnell Tate or our selection here and take Sonny Styles. An athletic monster who can play 4 different positions on defence.
8.
Rueben Bain Jr. , DE , Miami
The Saints are likely looking to replace time players in Cameron Jordan and Demario Davis. They'll be pretty hard done to see the perfect replacements for those two have been taken, although Ruben Bain Jr is still a very good edge rusher.
9.
Jermod McCoy , CB , Tennessee
The Chiefs recently traded away their Pro Bowl Corner in Trent McDuffie to the Rams, and also let corners Jaylen Watson and Joshua Williams walk in free agency. Now would be a great time to replace them with a younger and cheaper option. Jermod McCoy is the pick here.
10.
Francis Mauigoa , OT , Miami
The Bengals defence desperately needed help, especially with Trey Hendricksons departure, and to their credit, they've made three decent signings in free agency. Now its time to focus on offence, and most importantly, protecting Joe Burrow.
The Dolphins needed just about everything and they addressed many spots in free agency with 12 additions. Now they're still weak at most spots so this pick addresses one of their weakest spots at corner.
12.
Keldric Faulk , DE , Auburn
The Cowboys still need edge rushing help as the Micah Parsons void is still there. Faulk is a great mix of pure power and speed.
13.
Jordyn Tyson , WR , Arizona State
The Rams addressed their secondary with some help from the Chiefs as they acquired Trent McDuffie via trade and a Jaylen Watson via Free Agency. This selection comes down to offensive line or receiver, both who will likely be replacements. Jordan Tyson is the perfect fit for this team,
14.
Carnell Tate , WR , Ohio State
This pick recently belonged to the Raiders after a Maxx Crosby trade, although that fell through due to a knee injury in a medical, so now the Ravens are picking here again. Trey Hendrickson was signed via free agency as a nice consolation prize for new Head Coach Jesse Minter, so now it's time to focus on this offence. Im not sure if Carnell Tate actually falls this far come draft day, if not, offensive line is the pick.
15.
Kenyon Sadiq , TE , Oregon
The Bucs lost their long tenured pro bowl receiver Mike Evans via free agency, so the fact they now miss out on Tate here, hurts even more. The team has quite a few holes so a sneaky trade back here is possible, for the time being the Bucs will select Kenyon Sadiq.
16.
Makai Lemon , WR , USC
The Jets completed revamped their defence in free agency and we also added Arvell Reese at pick 2 for them, so there's a very good chance this selection is offence. The Jets don't have much outside of Garrett Wilson so a receiver is a great call here
