Throwing my name in the hat with my non-sensical thoughts on what teams might do.

Round 1

Picks 1-16 Picks 17-32 Round 2
1.
Fernando Mendoza , QB , Indiana
You don't have a tankapotmus as your spirit animal for the 2025 season if you're not going to pull the trigger on a QB here.
2.
Jets Jets:
David Bailey , DE , Texas Tech
Probably should be Reese, but....Jets?
3.
Arvell Reese , LB , Ohio State
****Trade. Probably should be Reese, but....with no QBs on the board and the possibility of drafting high in a stronger QB class next year the Cardinals adopt the recently abandoned pet tankapotamus that once resided in Vegas. Dallas jumps up to 3 from 12, getting picks 104 (Rd4) and 183 (Rd5) in exchange for the 12th pick, 92nd (3rd), 180th (5th) and a 2nd round in 2027 which the Cardinals will covet in case they need to jump up the board in 2027. Cowboys jump up to grab Reese here.
4.
Mansoor Delane , CB , LSU
I dunno. Feel like something silly will happen here even though it should be Love, Styles or Downs.
5.
Jeremiyah Love , RB , Notre Dame
****Trade. Saints spit take as Love sneaks past the Titans. Immediately call up the Giants who are somehow eager to move back a few picks to move forward in the middle rounds. Saints acquire picks 5 and 193 (Rd6) and send the Giants the 8th and 132nd (Rd4). As the great Beatles once said: All you need is Love.
6.
Carnell Tate , WR , Ohio State
Browns try not to overthink it. Draft a receiver to give whoever their quarterback is a fighting chance to complete some passes.
7.
Sonny Styles , LB , Ohio State
Similarly to the Browns, the Commanders try not to overthink this and fight the urge to trade back. With Styles somehow making it out of the top 6, they just submit the pick.
8.
Caleb Downs , S , Ohio State
Having moved back from 5, the Giants miss on Styles...but they are able to nab Downs here and seem satisfied.
9.
Rueben Bain Jr. , DE , Miami
The Chiefs should probably invest in protecting Patrick here after releasing/losing Taylor. That's why they're going to pick Rueben Bain Jr here, because heck with it. Mahomes is superman and he'll do it on is own like he always does? Right? (Silence) Right guys? (Looks around the Chiefs draft room)
10.
Francis Mauigoa , OT , Miami
****Trade. Lions are just baffled on why the linemen are falling. Manage to finnagle their way up to 10 here in exchange for the 17th and 118th (Rd4) picks. They run the card out to draft Mauigoa to help hold together their decimated OL. Bengals fight the urge to draft more offense, because reasons....and move back for a mid-round pick.
11.
Jordyn Tyson , WR , Arizona State
The 'Fins need to at least try to give Malik Willis someone to throw to, right?
12.
Spencer Fano , OT , Utah
Cardinals are laughing hysterically as they walk this pick in. Moving back, they thought they'd probably be drafting from the 2nd tier of tackles. Somehow they're landing Fano here.
13.
Rams Rams:
Makai Lemon , WR , USC
Quick! The Stafford window is closing! Surround him with as many weapons as possible!!
14.
Vega Ioane , G , Penn State
For reasons other than it just making sense, the Ravens are just interested to see if the commissioner will butcher his name while announcing the pick.
15.
Keldric Faulk , DE , Auburn
Bucs trying to win now. Need a pass rush. Might not be the best they can do, but they're gonna stick and pick.
16.
Monroe Freeling , OT , Georgia
****Trade. Panthers watching the linemen slide jump the Bengals by sending 19 and 119 (Rd4) to the Jets for the 16th and draft Freeling.
