Full disclosure, I'm not a football insider or draft expert. Just enjoy reading about it.

Round 1

Picks 1-16 Picks 17-32
1.
Fernando Mendoza , QB , Indiana
No brainer pick. If they're smart, Raiders let him rest so he doesn't get beat up too badly.
2.
Jets Jets:
David Bailey , DE , Texas Tech
Bailey is the low-risk, high floor player.
3.
Arvell Reese , LB , Ohio State
This is a hard choice. Reese has tons of potential and flexibility.
4.
Jeremiyah Love , RB , Notre Dame
I could see the Titans moving from this pick if they get a good enough offer. Love is an elite stud and will elevate the Titans but may be a little early to make them truly competitive. A number of teams would "love" to have him.
5.
Caleb Downs , S , Ohio State
Giants have the benefit of having the best player available align pretty well with need here.
6.
Carnell Tate , WR , Ohio State
This is a tough call. It depends how much of a gap the Browns see between receivers and offensive line prospects. If they see a OT that is head-and-shoulders above the rest, they may go for that here and wait for WR until their 2nd first.
7.
Spencer Fano , OT , Utah
Washington has several needs but offensive line is their clear best option.
8.
Sonny Styles , LB , Ohio State
Styles is an instant difference-maker. He is the type that they can continue to build around.
9.
Kenyon Sadiq , TE , Oregon
Sadiq is a special talent and I imagine the Chiefs would love to grab a player of his caliber as they await the return of Mahomes.
10.
Rueben Bain Jr. , DE , Miami
This is a pretty good value pick. I know Charlie said teams aren't thinking Bain's car accident will hurt his draft value but I think he may drop slightly.
11.
Jordyn Tyson , WR , Arizona State
This seems fairly obvious with need meeting best available.
12.
C.J. Allen , LB , Georgia
Allen is a difference maker for a shaky defense.
13.
Rams Rams:
Francis Mauigoa , OT , Miami
Good value here and the Rams appreciate the need to build along the line.
14.
Mansoor Delane , CB , LSU
Delane is an immediate impact corner on a team looking to compete now.
15.
Keldric Faulk , DE , Auburn
I've heard Faulk was a workout warrior but doesn't look as explosive on tape. I'm concerned that he could fall but I do see some team falling in love with his workouts.
16.
Jets Jets:
Kadyn Proctor , OT , Alabama
Proctor's weight is only reason to see him drop. If he can control this, there's tremendous potential.
