RB Value Picks for Week 4

3 weeks in the books, we can start to get an idea of what to expect from teams in the NFL. We will continue week 4 by checking out the Running Backs. Again, this is all based on Draft Kings salary numbers and scoring, these are my value picks, NOT my best receivers of the week. These are the guys that I foresee offering the best bang for buck when picking your rosters this week.

Ideal points for price for RB:

$7,000 and up should be getting 25+ points.

$6,000 to $6,900 should be getting 20 to 24 points.

$5,000 to $5,900 should be getting 15 to 19 points.

$4,000 to $4,900 should be getting 10 to 14 points.

$3,000 to $3,900 should be getting 5 to 9 points

Keep this in mind when I make my picks.

1.  Jordan Howard, Chicago Bears V.s. Detroit Lions:  $3,700:

I really like this pick this week. First off Howard has the backfield almost all to himself, with Ka’Deem Carey nursing a Hamstring and Jeremy Langford out 4-6 weeks, there is no one to take the carries away. The other part is the matchup. The Lions are giving up 115 yards a game and let Eddie Lacy run 103 yards on 17 carries last week

Prediction:  80 Rushing Yards, 3 Receptions, 20 Receiving Yards and 1 TD for 19 points

2.  Dwayne Washington, Detroit Lions V.s. Chicago Bears:  $3,800

Again, I really like this matchup. The Lions reported that they trust Washington and feel more comfortable with him in the offense. Seeing as how Riddick hasn’t been able to handle everything on his own, this is good news. Oh and also since the Bears are allowing 143 yards on the ground a game to opponents. The Bear allowed 199 yards last week to the Cowboys, 140 to rookie RB Ezekiel Elliott. This should be a great ground matchup game for both teams.

Prediction:  70 Rushing yards, 2 Reception, 10 Receiving Yards and a TD for 16 points

3.  Cameron Artis-Payne, Carolina Panthers V.s. Atlanta Falcons:  $3,400:

Artis-Payne had a difficult week last week against the toughest defense in the league. This week though he has a nice bounce-back matchup with the Flacons who just won a shootout with division rival Saints. The Falcons only allowed 98 yards to running backs, but that’s cause the pace of the game was so focused in the air. I like the Panthers to try and control the clock and the Falcons defense up front with Artis-Payne.

Prediction:  60 Yards rushing, 2 Receptions, 10 Receiving Yards and 1 TD for 15 points

4.  Jerick McKinnon, Minnesota Vikings V.s. New York Giants:  $3,900:

McKinnon had a tough matchup last week against the Panthers front seven that does such a great job stopping the run and getting to the quarterback. This week they will be facing another tough defense against the run. The difference is that I think that the scheme of the defense offers McKinnon the ability to break a big play or 2 in this game if he hits the second level. McKinnon wont dominate but he will put up good fantasy numbers for the game.

Prediction:  60 Rushing Yards, 4 Receptions and 30 Receiving Yards for 13 points

5.  Orleans Darkwa, New York Giants V.s. Minnesota Vikings:  $3,000

The Giants have already announced that Jennings will most likely not be suiting up this week. Meaning that the Darkwa will get almost all the work with Bobby Rainey filling in on 3rd down passing downs. This is a tough defense to run against, but for the lowest price to pay for a RB I think there is enough value and potential to get your money’s worth.

Prediction:  60 Rushing Yards, 2 Receptions and 20 Receiving Yards for 10 points
