WR Value Picks for Week 2

I gave my quarterbacks and Tight Ends for week 2 already, now let’s look at the “Divas” of the football league, the Wide Receivers. Again this is all based on Draft Kings salary numbers and scoring, these are my value picks, NOT my best Wide Receivers of the week. These are the guys that I foresee offering the best bang for buck when picking your rosters this week, especially when you’re trying to squeeze enough money to spend on Antonio Brown.

1.  Cole Beasley, Dallas Cowboys $3,200:

This is the guy I think offers the best value in all my selections. The Cowboys let Dak Prescott take the offense, and he made smart short passes. (great for a rookie) I think that he found someone that he has chemistry with in Beasley and just kept going to him. Washington’s linebackers are slow, period. I think there are a few more long shots down the field to keep the defense honest but I like the Cowboys to keep it short, control the clock and manage the game. I really like Beasley to go 8 receptions, 80 yards and a touchdown for 22 points.

2.  Will Fuller, Houston Texans $4,200:

This guy is the real deal. First off when a receiver is targeted 11 times, you got my attention. Fuller has speed and he also has a guy named DeAndre Hopkins on the other side of the field to prevent double coverage. I like this matchup against the Chiefs, I’m not a believer in the Chiefs secondary and I’ve said it before the defense up front looks slower. Before Keenan Allen left the game last week against the Chiefs, the Chargers were carving them up. I think the same happens with the Texans this week. I like Fuller for 6 receptions, 100 yards and a score for 22 points.

3.  Tajae Sharpe, Tennessee Titans $4,100:

Deja vu? That’s right, for this price I still like Sharpe for week 2. First off he had a nice week (fantasy wise) getting targeted 11 times and reeling 7 in for 76 yards. Now I know that Marcus Mariota is not Andrew Luck, however, I like Sharpe to get another 10-12 targets in this matchup with a defense that allowed 385 yards last week. I like Sharpe week 2 against the Lions for 6 receptions, 90 yards and a touchdown for 21 points.

4.  Michael Thomas, New Orleans Saints $4,000:

Do I have three rookies on this list? Yes, I do. Thomas lit up the preseason, and last week I was unsure with the amount of weapons that the Saints have on whether or not Thomas would be a big part of the game plan. However, it looked like the Saints gave Thomas the middle of the field and let him make plays all game long. t also looked like the Saints offense was more focused on testing the speed of Oakland’s corners and I think that took a little away from Thomas, but this week should show more promise. I like Thomas this week for 6 receptions, 70 yards and a touchdown for 19 points.

5.  Tyrell Williams, San Diego Chargers $3,700:

Williams has size and I think offers the most for San Diego when it comes to replacing Allen. A couple years ago the Chargers had injures in the receiving core, but recovered because they had depth as receivers like Eddie Royal stepped up to lead the way. I think that Williams could be that type of player. If handled well, Williams, Travis Benjamin, Antonio gates and Danny Woodhead could carry this team to a strong passing game. Against the Jaguars I see this game spending more time in the air then on the ground. I like Williams for 6 receptions and 90 yards for 15 points.
