RB Value Picks for Week 5

4 weeks in the books. We will continue week 5 by checking out the Running Backs. Again, this is all based on Draft Kings salary numbers and scoring, these are my value picks, NOT my best receivers of the week. These are the guys that I foresee offering the best bang for buck when picking your rosters this week.

Ideal points for price for RB:

$7,000 and up should be getting 23+ points.

$6,000 to $6,900 should be getting 18 to 22 points.

$5,000 to $5,900 should be getting 13 to 17 points.

$4,000 to $4,900 should be getting 8 to 12 points.

$3,000 to $3,900 should be getting 3 to 7 points

Keep this in mind when I make my picks.

1.  Jacquizz Rodgers, Tampa bay Buccaneers V.s. Carolina Panthers:  $3,000:

This is going to be a very interesting game Monday night. Tampa will be without a couple key spots on the D-line and also missing Martin and more than likely Simms who is still struggling with a knee injury. The word is that Rodgers will get the start Monday night. The Panthers are out anything resembling a secondary and missing Johnathan Stewart and Cam Newton. There are not a lot of people who can figure this game out yet. However, with Winston needing to cut down on the amount of pass attempts and getting better with his passing. I like Rodgers to run the rock for Tampa for at least 15-18 attempts and add a few more receptions.

Prediction:  80 Rushing Yards, 4 Receptions and 30 Receiving Yards for 15 points

2.  DeAndre Washington, Oakland Raiders V.s. San Diego Chargers:  $3,400

Washington has been sitting quietly and patiently behind Murray for his chance to shine. Every time he gets the ball he looks amazing. He’s averaging over 6 yards a carry this season so far. Murray is doubtful and not projected to play this week giving Washington a great matchup against the Chargers defense that is allowing all Running backs the second most fantasy points to RB’s this year.

Prediction:  90 Rushing Yards, 3 Receptions and 30 Receiving Yards for 15 points

3.  Jerick McKinnon, Minnesota Vikings V.s. New York Giants:  $3,900:

McKinnon had a great week last week posting 18.5 points. While only costing 3,900. This week he will be going against the Texans defense that does not have JJ Watt and has let Blount and Murray have great games.  I like McKinnon to have another great outing this week as the Vikings continue to control the clock and the game.

Prediction:  90 Rushing Yards, 2 Receptions, 10 Receiving Yards and 1 TD for 18 points

4.  Terrance West, Baltimore Ravens V.s. Washington Redskins:  $4,800

West is coming off a week where he posted 113 yards on the ground against Oakland. The Ravens will be taking on the Redskins who are allowing on average 133 yards a game on the ground. Kenneth Dixon will be given some reps in the game but I like West to get the majority of the carries in this great matchup. Washington’s line is a mess and that is where West does his best running is right up the middle.

Prediction:  90 Rushing yards, 3 Reception, 20 Receiving Yards and a TD for 20 points
