Week 2: Daily Fantasy Football Lineup

Here it is. I’ve been giving my value picks through the week, and the following is going to be my Draft Kings Sunday games only starting roster. Enjoy.

QUARTERBACK:

Trevor Siemian, Denver Broncos $5,200:

This was one of my value QB’s this week and I love the matchup. I was hesitant on how I felt about Siemian last week against the Panthers, and I will tell you that his poise in the pocket to know what was coming and still deliver the ball was impressive to watch. This week He will be facing a defense that is far more depleted in the secondary than even the Panthers were last week. Players like T.J. Green, Clayton Geathers, Patrick Robinson, Vontae Davis and Darius Butler are all out leaving Darryl Morris and Rashaan Melvin to defend the secondary who just joined the team a little more than a week ago. The Colts pass rush is lacking pressure, meaning that for them to apply to same kind of pressure that Carolina did there are going to be some amazing 1-on-1’s with Sanders and Thomas down the field. I like Siemian for 300 yards and 2 scores against the Colts for 24 points.

RUNNINGBACKS:

C.J. Anderson Denver Broncos $6,800:

If I had to give a sure thing Anderson this week would be pretty close. Kubiak likes running the ball, play action and passing to the running back. Last week against arguably one of the best front sevens in the league Anderson still posted 29.9 fantasy points. This week facing one of the worst linebacker and secondary’s in the league Anderson should have a fun day Sunday. I like Anderson for 20 carries for 120 yards on the ground, 5 receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown for 26 points.

Tevin Coleman, Atlanta Falcons $4,500:

Another name that I talked about this week. Anyone who watched the Falcons game learned a couple things, one, being that Coleman can run and catch and the falcons like him a lot. Colman showed versatility, he was thrown the ball a lot and has a lot to offer the Falcons. I figure that with Julio Jones, and Mohamed Sanu nursing ankle injuries, Coleman should benefit from that with a few more looks. I like Coleman for 45 yards on the ground, 6 receptions, 60 yards and a score for 22 points.

WIDE RECIEVERS:

Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers $9,900:

I like my value picks this week and I love being able to spend the money on the top fantasy player in the league. This should be a good matchup this week against the Bengals. Until someone actually stops brown I’ll always consider him number one in wide receivers. I like Brown this week for 9 receptions, 120 yards and a touchdown for 27 points.

Kelvin Benjamin, Carolina Panthers $6,500:

Benjamin came in last week against one of the best secondary’s and still managed to get 91 yards. It helps that Cam Newton targeted him 12 times. I understand that the 49ers shut out the Rams last week but I’ll take about as much from that as going to the Zoo. I like Benjamin to be a big target again for Newton going 8 receptions, 115 yards and a touchdown for 25 points.

Emmanuel Sanders, Denver Broncos $6,000:

Wait, did I start the quarterback, running back and wide receiver for the Broncos? Yes, I did. Also, No, I’m not a Broncos fan. As I have stated above, I really like the Broncos offense in this game. The Colts got burned on crossing routes and timing routes last week and while it looked that Siemian liked going to Thomas over Sanders, I think more will be designed for Sanders speed and to provide caution for Thomas and any lingering injury. I like Sanders in this matchup for 8 receptions, 120 yards and a touchdown for 26 points.

TIGHT ENDS:

Julius Thomas, Jacksonville Jaguars $4,400:

Thomas had a pretty decent outing against the Packers last week and was definitely a target in the redzone. The charges had no answer last week for Chiefs Travis Kelce who beat up the Chargers. I like Thomas to find mismatches in the defense and do well in what I expect to be a shootout in this game. I like Thomas for 7 receptions, 70 yards and a touchdown for 20 points.

FLEX:

Cole Beasley, Dallas Cowboys $3,200:

This was my number one Value wide receiver this week and I like him to fill the flex. This is the guy I think offers the best value in all my selections. The Cowboys let Dak Prescott take the offense, and he made smart short passes. (great for a rookie) I think that he found someone that he has chemistry with in Beasley and just kept going to him. Washington’s linebackers are slow, period. I think there are a few more long shots down the field to keep the defense honest but I like the Cowboys to keep it short, control the clock and manage the game. I really like Beasley to go 8 receptions, 80 yards and a touchdown for 22 points.

DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS:

Houston Texans Defense/Special Teams $3,400:

This was my second option, I wanted Seattle’s defense here but was a little short on cash. (thanks Antonio Brown) But I don’t feel it’s a bad matchup. Watt is a monster and the Texans Defense while not elite is above average. I think that the front seven in Houston can keep the running game and Alex Smith in check and not let that come back that we saw last week.
