QB Value Picks for Week 2

With Week one of the regular season closed out we immediately start looking to week 2. We will begin by checking out the Quarterbacks for this week. Again this is all based on Draft Kings salary numbers and scoring, these are my value picks, NOT my best Quarterbacks of the weeks. These are the guys that I foresee offering the best bang for buck when picking your rosters this week.

1.  QB Trevor Siemian, Denver Broncos $5,200:

I was hesitant on how I felt about Siemian last week against the Panthers, and I will tell you that his poise in the pocket to know what was coming and still deliver the ball was impressive to watch. This week He will be facing a defense that is far more depleted in the secondary than even the Panthers were last week. Players like T.J. Green, Clayton Geathers, Patrick Robinson, Vontae Davis and Darius Butler are all out leaving Darryl Morris and Rashaan Melvin to defend the secondary who just joined the team a little more than a week ago. The Colts pass rush is lacking preasure, meaning that for them to apply to same kind of pressure that Carolina did there are going to be some amazing 1-on-1’s with Sanders and Thomas down the field. I like Siemian for 300 yards and 2 scores against the Colts for 24 points.

2.  QB Josh McCown, Cleveland Browns $5,000:

This pick is one that I am very interested in. he comes literally as cheap as they can. McCown has always posted good fantasy numbers when healthy. Last year in 6 starts he averaged over 250 yards and 2 touchdowns a game. I think that with receivers like Corey Coleman, Terrelle Pryor, Gary Barnidge, Andrew Hawkins and even Duke Johnson (which are way better options then he had last year) McCown should be able to have a good day against the Ravens at home. I like McCown in this game for 275 yards, 2 touchdowns, and a fumble/interception for 21 points.

3.  QB Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles $5,500:

I will start by saying that I liked this kid last week started him in all my draft king’s rosters, and he’s only $500 more this week, making my list 2 weeks straight. I’m still a little concerned about re-injury to his ribs. Granted last week was against the Browns and this week he will see a better defense in the Bears, I still like Wentz to have an average game, which for his price tag is still a good value. I would rather pay $5,500 for a 17-point game out of a QB, then pay $7,500 for a 17-point game on a QB. I like Wentz if healthy to throw for 225 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception for 19 points.
