Dailey Fantasy Value Picks: Week 1

Anyone who knows Fantasy Football knows that Antonio Brown, Odell Beckham Jr., Julio Jones, Adrian Pederson and others are always going to be at the top of the rankings each week. But what makes daily fantasy leagues so awesome is finding those guys that no one is looking at and getting the most value for a pick. I’ll give a few receivers and running backs that I like week one as far as their value and what they can produce using Draft Kings as my reference site.

RUNNING BACKS:

Melvin Gordon $4,600:  While this may not be bottom of the barrel, Gordon has shown great strides from his rookie season, granted it’s all during the preseason. With recent injuries to Branden Oliver, look for Gordon to get 80 percent of the carries against the Chiefs Defensive front.

Legarrette Blount $3,700:  Blount had been battling starting time with Tyler Gaffney through the preseason. However, an injury to Gaffney and Dion Lewis has given Blount the reins to the starting job. With no Brady for a few weeks I like Blount for a combined 100+ yards and a score.

WIDE RECEIVERS:

Marvin Jones Jr. $4,600:  There’s a few reasons why I really like this pick. The first being that the Lions are going to be a pass heavy team this year. They have a running back stable that is not that great and Riddick is more of a receiver then a running back. Jones is the number one in Detroit and was featured a lot in the redzone (cough, TD’s). Lastly, the Colts defensive backs unit is all injured and beat up, the starting corner is Antonio Cromartie.  All this should result in Jones producing a stellar first regular season game as a Lion.

Tajae Sharpe $3,000:  Sharpe should have amazing value here. He is the starting wide receiver for the Titans. Granted, he is an undrafted rookie, he has played very well in preseason and impressed coaches in practice. The Titans have also traded Dorial Green-Beckham to the Eagles and cut Justin Hunter. Meaning, Sharpe does not have to share time with anyone. He will be facing a tough Vikings defense but I still like the production for value on Sharpe at his very affordable price tag.
