Fantasy aspect of Bradford deal

With everyone reacting to the deal between the Minnesota Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles that sent Sam Bradford to the Vikings this morning. The real question is, how is this going to affect your fantasy team?

Daily Fantasy leagues:

Who I like:

 

QB Chase Daniels $5,000:  For week 1 in Draft Kings Daniels is going for only $5,000. I love this value, Cleveland’s pass defense is depleted, weak and inexperienced. While I’m not saying Daniels is going to throw for 300 yards and 4 touchdowns. I do believe that Daniels is able to walk away from this game with 200-250 yards and 2 scores. That’s a solid 17 points for a bargain barrel quarterback.

TE Zach Ertz $4,300:  I really like TE Zach Ertz this week for $4,300 to come in and get you at least 5 receptions, 60 yards and a score for another 17 points. Like I have noted before Doug Pederson loves designing plays for the TE. With Daniels getting the push here I see him relying on the running game and Ertz while taking a few shots down field.  

Who I Don’t like:

 

RB Adrian Peterson $7,600:  I’m not as big on Adrian Peterson this week when you look at his $7,600 price tag. I can also see the Tennessee Titans stacking the box against Peterson forcing the Vikings to throw the ball more. While Peterson may still have a decent game I don’t like the value in this pick.

QB Sam Bradford $6,400:  While I like the value in Daniels, Bradford has a different situation. Not that the Titans defense is scary or anything. Bradford is not going to have a lot of time to prepare, game plan, know the playbook, develop a rapport and adjust. There is not going to be a lot asked, and when he is asked its going to be short safe throws that won’t go for very much. I see Bradford ending week 1 with 200-225 yards, a score and a turnover. While not far off from Daniels in stats, it’s the value that I don’t care for in this matchup.

Regular Fantasy Leagues:

If you’re playing in a regular Yahoo, ESPN, NFL.com or other site I don’t see this move having as big of an impact on the team. If you’re an owner of Peterson already you got to like this as far as having a QB that can complement your RB down the road by not forcing Peterson to run the rock 25 times a game and risk injury. Once Bradford develops into the Vikings system Diggs and others will maintain their same value.
