RB Value Picks for Week 2

I gave my quarterbacks, Tight Ends and Wide Receivers for week 2 already, now let’s look at the ground pounders of the football league, the Running Backs. Again this is all based on Draft Kings salary numbers and scoring, these are my value picks, NOT my best Running Backs of the week. These are the guys that I foresee offering the best bang for buck when picking your rosters this week, especially when you’re trying to squeeze enough money to spend on Antonio Brown.

1.  Danny Woodhead, San Diego Chargers $5,200:

Woodhead could turn into a monster this year with Kenan Allen out for the year. I understand that Woodhead is a running back but, his money is made in the flats and passing game. I believe that the Chargers going forward are going to focus more on using all their weapons and spreading the ball around. Woodhead can and will see time out wide, while the team focus’s more snaps on Melvin Gordon in the running game. I really like Woodhead to go 40 yards on the ground, 5 receptions, 50 yards and a touchdown for 20 points.

2.  Tevin Coleman, Atlanta Falcons $4,500:

Anyone who watched the Falcons game learned a couple things, one, being that Coleman can run and catch and the falcons like him a lot. Colman showed versatility, he was thrown the ball a lot and has a lot to offer the Falcons. I figure that with Julio Jones, and Mohamed Sanu nursing ankle injuries, Coleman should benefit from that with a few more looks. I like Coleman for 45 yards on the ground, 6 receptions, 60 yards and a score for 22 points.

3.  Theo Riddick, Detroit Lions $4,300:

I liked Riddick last week and I do again this week. Hats off to Jim Bob Cooter, the offensive coordinator of the Lions for putting an offense together to complement his players. Riddick was amazing last week and I think we will see similar results this week against a Titans defense that is struggling. Ameer Abdullah looked great as well so I foresee good totals and numbers from both players. I like Riddick week 2 against the Titans for 50 yards on the ground, 5 receptions, 60 yards and a touchdown for 21 points.
