TE Value Picks for Week 5

4 weeks down in the season and week 5 is here. Let’s start by checking out the Tight Ends. Again, this is all based on Draft Kings salary numbers and scoring, these are my value picks, NOT my best receivers of the week. These are the guys that I foresee offering the best bang for buck when picking your rosters this week.

Ideal points for price for WR:

$6,000 and up should be getting 22+ points.

$5,000 to $5,900 should be getting 18 to 22 points.

$4,000 to $4,900 should be getting 12 to 17 points.

$3,000 to $3,900 should be getting 6 to 11 points.

$3,000 and less should be getting 2 to 5 points

Keep this in mind when I make my picks.

1.  Zach Miller, Chicago Bears V.S. Indianapolis Colts:  $3,600

Zach Miller has been doing very well stepping up as a TE1 Caliber player for the Bears. He and Hoyer have great chemistry and with Kevin White place on IR this week I like Eddie Royal and Miller to both see a bump in targets and receptions. The Colts linebackers and corners have been no match against other team TE’s.

Prediction:  5 Receptions, 70 Receiving Yards and 1 TD (18 points)

2.  Zach Ertz, Philadelphia Eagles V.S. Detroit Lions $3,500:

Ertz is finally coming back and no better team to do that against than the Lions. The Lions are one of the worst teams against TE’s and with all the weapons and Carson Wentz playing safe and consistent football I like Ertz to have a big game coming back. If anything just remember this is an Andy Reid type offense that loves the TE.

Prediction:  5 Receptions, 60 Receiving Yards and 1 TD (17 points)

3.  Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings V.s. Houston Texans:  $3,600

Rudolph and Sam Bradford have developed a great chemistry and trust on the field. In the redzone Bradford is quick to look and find Rudolph. This will continue against a struggling Texans defense. The Vikings will try and continue to control the clock by running the ball and short passes which should benefit Rudolph while Bradford continues to grow in this new offense.

Prediction:  5 Receptions, 50 Receiving Yards and 1 TD (16 points)

4.  Cameron Brate, Tampa Bay Buccaneers V.S. Carolina Panthers $2,900:

With ASJ gone from the team Brate has truly become the true passing TE for the team. He is averaging 9 targets a game the last 2 games. I like Brate to have a pretty god game against the Panthers this week being Winston’s security blanket with Simms more than likely not playing this week.

Prediction:  6 Receptions and 60 Receiving Yards (12 points)
